…Despite this, she did listen to his ‘speech’, albeit eyeing him warily the entire time. Her posture, however, loosened up and she seemed almost calm, arms crossed over her chest and a half-smirk-half-smile on her lips.

“S)(ore right! I am confused!” She exclaimed— and suddenly, she was pouting and her brows were furrowed.

Backing up a bit, Eridan continued to rant on about, well, not only the many problems faced here, but about what had happened before this too.

"Wwait, calm dowwn, okay, firstly I am sorry about that, okay, I don't knoww wwhat else to say, and it's not good to hold grudges, right? At the time I wwasn't thinkin', I thought that there wwas no hope left at all, and after I... did that, that wwas wwhen I kneww for sure that there wwas no hope left for me."

"And it's not a dream, apparently, because I'vve been here for a wwhole fuckin' human month or MORE."

"This place is human infested so you better get used to it."

Honey tried to resist, he really did, but the fins and the glasses and the scarf. He was just overflowing with cuteness, he was like a human plush! Honey wondered if he could keep him and if Usa-chan would get jealous? Oh well, that didn’t matter right now. What mattered was that Honey jumped up and wrapped his arm’s around the other’s neck and hugged him.

He ignored the fact that a squeal left his mouth as he spoke up to the person who’s personal bubble he so completely invaded. “You’re really cute! I’m Honey!”

And in that moment the Prince of Hope was hugged, having not expected it, at all.

"Wwhat are you--"

This was the second time someone had touched him without approval, although he really couldn't say anything since the kid looked about four sweeps old. And did he just call him cute? Was that a joke or something?

"Wwhat do you mean I'm cute? Stop messin' wwith my feelins' I do havve real feelin's as wwell you knoww."

Hanna blinks a bit and giggles.  This troll spoke really funny but it was sort of really cool.  Though, at the sea dweller’s compliment, he flushes a bit.  Well that was a good sign that these two were destined to be friends.  Friends I say.

“Ahh why thanks.  I hope that I can change your view on humans then!! If you say I’m probably the nicest ever….”  He taps his lower chin, pretending to look in thought.  ”After all not all of us are bad!!!  But I hope the ones you met weren’t like…mean or anything..because that would be really bad too…”  He shifts his hands to his hips.

Well that was also a sad thing to hear.  He does shrug his shoulders a bit.  ”It is their loss considering you are a pretty cool fish to talk to—-” He stops…and flushes a bit.  ”I just called you a fish omg..You sort of look like one with your fins attached to your head which is pretty cool too and oh god I am rambling…”  He laughs nervously. Well calling hiim a pretty cool cat seemed liek an insult.

“Oh shit my name.  I”m Hanna Cross!!!”  He extends his hand, hoping that Eridan will know what it means….

Great friends, which is good because Eridan really needs some friends.

A small smile tugged at the Sea dwellers lips, although it was only visable if you squinted, he liked this guy already, even if he was a human and a low blood, Eridan  never went through with most of his plans to wipe out all of the land dwellers. And he couldn't do that here anyway, since he would be all alone if he did. He thought about making everyone here his slaves a few times, but they didn't respect him as it was and knew that idea would end up failing too. All he really wanted now was some respect and to fill his quadrants-- which was really all he wanted in the first place! He was royalty and deserved the best, or that was what he thought, anyway. 

"Wwell that's okay you can call me that if you wwant."

"Okay Hanna, my name's Eridan Ampora, Prince of Hope-- or, no, I don't evven owwn that title anymore."

"Just call me Eridan."

"An yeah, all the humans I'vve met here havve been kind a ignorant an I'll nevver forget the time the time one of em bleww up my fuckin' computer back in the vveil."

He stared at the humans hand for a moment, and remembered that they were supposed to shake, at first he couldn't bring himself to do it, but if this meant making friends, he went along with it and shook hands.

“Eh?? Of course it’s a compliment dude!!  Why would I go and insult something as awesome as you!?”  Hanna was now perplexed to why this troll would say such a thing!!  It was pretty sweet to meet a new breed of troll after all.

“Ah—Actually you’re the first one I’ve seen~”  He giggles again, clearly excited about the fact that there are more. Though the last part of his sentence was sort of sad.  ”Aww…that’s sad.  That you guys aren’t on speaking terms. I mean…it should be like..friends stick together you know??  I think you’re pretty cool—and I only just met you~”  Hanna knows how to cheer a person up.  Just look at him go

It was, if not pleasant, then at least bearable to talk to the only other troll who seemed to fully respect the hemospectrum… even if he did not strictly adhere to the morals and values of what one of noble blood should be. However, as his superior, Eridan’s so-called ranting was to be listened to and treated as venerable wisdom, no matter the crass language and demeanor associated with it.

“An entire month of human time…” The troll was silently converting into Alternian time, but soon gave up on this foolish endeavor. What point was there in doing so? Answer: none in particular. “And when they stare, I’m assuming it’s not to admire your highblooded nature.” Probably more to do with the fact that Eridan was grey-skinned and in possession of fins.

And Equius would have had no choice but to listen to the highblood. After all, it wasn’t his place to interrupt one of superior blood and breeding than himself. It simply wasn’t done. There was a system in place, one that required respect and reverence. And the blueblood was intent on keeping it intact.

“… I see. Thank you for informing me that you will not be providing me information.” If he’d wanted to, Equius could have easily smacked the unhelpful Eridan into the ground with a single movement, and probably caused him some serious damage. But that would be beneath him. “Well, it is gratifying that one of your blood color would choose to honor myself with your presence. But… where is the meteor we originated from?”

The same irritated expression remained on the Seadweller's face. It was actually (just slightly), irritating how the other troll brushed off every insult as if it were nothing, it was... a change; since all of the humans here reacted pretty badly to them, it certainly felt a lot stranger than the usual reactions he would receive since arriving in Arcadios. Equius just took the snarky remarks without any arguing and he knew his place as one lower on the spectrum, which was good, yet Eridan couldn't pick out why it felt annoying in a way, probably since he usually wanted some sort of reaction, he wasn't used to having respect like this, it had been so long, even though it was what he really wanted in the first place. 

Feelings are complicated.

"Of course I'm not givving you any a my vvaluable information," he spat, truthfully he didn't really have any, a part from it being a human infested land run by a goddess or something along those lines, he had never really paid much attention to the details because he had never felt the need to.

"Unless you get dowwn and beg for it, maybe I'll change my mind," he joked, knowing that the idiot would actually do something like that, he scratched that idea pretty quickly and kept babbling.

"No, wwait, don't, because I knoww you'd actually do somethin' like that." 

Eridan heaved a sigh before continuing, in response to the question about the meteor, wait, did this mean they were from different time lines or something of the like? Great.

"I don't fuckin' knoww wwhere the stupid meteor is noww, you dirt eater, wwho do you think I am? Wwhere's your sidekick kitty cave girl, I'm sure she knowws more about it than I do, or has at least heard the details on wwhat happened since then, from Kar."

"Or-- Don't tell me you're from a wwhole different time line or somethin, I nevver paid much attention to all a that time crap, that wwasn't my job, after all. So if you are that makes you evven more useless than before."

Hanna blinks a bit in awe.  ”A troll?? Man you are one of the most better looking trolls I’ve ever seen!!”  And when he says that—he really means that all the trolls that he has seen before were all like monstrous and stuff—with boils and god knows what else.  You—are the first HS troll he has met go you!

"An, yeah I'm the only one wwho talks like this, an you'd probably see a feww of the others around if you looked, I think some a them are here too, but wwe're not on good terms, so don't think of askin' me to introduce you or somethin'..."

Eridan gasped at the touch, glaring at the human, as they continued to pick up his hand, he thought for a moment that this might have been how humans flirted, but then he pulled his hand back, out of frustration and confusion. It would certainly take a while to get used to what they considered normal around here.

And Eridan didn't really mind the attention at all, in fact he liked the feeling of someone actually being interested in him, but the feeling was alien and strange. No one had ever actually been curious about him like this.

"I'm a troll, a Sea dwweller, to be exact," he continued, "An I havven't been doin' much here, to be honest, but I did all sorts a things before this, like angel slayin' and... a lot a other crazy things."

Eridan supposed he would try socializing again, even though it never turned out to be the best of ideas, it wasn't like there was much else to do. When he saw someone talk to him-- or so he thought they were speaking to him, he of course, replied with one of his snarky remarks.

It wasn't your typical introduction, but this was pretty much how he greeted everyone unfortunate enough to cross his path.

▩After that speech, Shiori no longer felt like making any attempt to speak. Rude, impolite, and oh-so-very arrogant! She didn’t think anything the grey-skinned boy was saying, not that she would ever voice the thought. …She also had no idea whatsoever about what the boy was rambling about. She might have given him the respect he thought he deserved if he actually said something helpful.

Eridan continued to go on and on, hoping to get some response, even though he didn't exactly enjoy socializing with the humans here, he often got lonely and even if he was only starting fights with them, it was better than nothing.
