I am a chef at a very fancy restaurant. So when you have a dish sent back because it wasn't what the guest wants, go outside talk to guest to find out what they did not like about it. Found out they mistaken what they actually wanted was a different dish.

"Hey"   she   said   as   she   peered   down   at   the   handsome   youth   that   was   asleep,   unconcious   or   maybe   drugged   ?   in   her   woods.   "Are   you   okay   ?"   she   asked   him   a   long   nail   poking   into   the   pristine   robes   he   wore   gave   her   a   brief   shock   and   she   snatched   her   hand   back   from   him.   They   were   protective   robes!   Of   course ,  the   first   possible   lunch   to   come   through   here   in   days   and   he   was   most   likely   a   cultivator.   

She   wanted   to   mourn   her   loss   he   was   beautiful.   He   hadn't   even   opened   his   eyes   and   he   was.   It   was   unfair   to   her.   How   some   of   them   had   to   work   to   look   nice.   Than   she   could   even   feed   off   of   him.   "Bother."   she   huffed   and   caught   him   by   an   arm   and   began   to   drag   him   along.   She   was   sure   he'd   appricate   not   being   left   out   in   the   middle   of   haunted   woods.   

Or   he   better.   She   thought   to   herself.   

She   could   go   hunt   someone   else,   she   thought   but   than   the   youth   looked   sick.   So   instead   she   set   about   brewing   something   that   would   banish   poisons.

So I had to deal with IRL crap. It always rears its ugly head when I am not prepared. Though it did allow me to catch up to current episodes of the drama with my character in it.

Usually I have love for the female lead but the story so far has me rather cold towards the main female lead. Which is strange for me.

What Sizhui does effortlessly is amazing to him. He is not as kind, pure or innocent. No matter his incarnation. Since he went super manipulative on one path, went devil god on another and of course a man with zero what he's suppose to do with a wife, when he's a god of war.

It was festival it was supposed to be something fun loving, and light. Her mood seemed to reflect his own. Albeit for different reasons.

She could not forget about love, and he wondered often what it was truly about. He moved slowly his actions not threatening as he took seat and produced a pair of earthenware pots of brown, golden and red presenting her with one of them and a sake cup.

"As much as I would like to say I understand." he said to her as he caught his flowing sleeve in hand and poured the fine lotus liquor into his cup. "I can't, I have long wondered at love, I have seen it reflected around me. I have seen those who would die for one another, and yet" he breathed softly bringing the small delicate cup to his lips the look on his face thoughtful. "I confess to not understanding it." A sip followed politely as he inquired "Tell me about it, about your love ?" he asked "Was it the kind to kindle a heart to light a fire within the soul lanterns or was it an inferno to burn all things that touched it, as I do not understand it well on a personal level, I have watched those that love around me weather the storm of passion and desire". He watched the lights of the lanterns reflect off the liquid in the cup. "Of course there is always, the betrayal of one who claims to love you , I could not hold a grudge but I felt anger...I think you of all people understand that part...but can you tell me what it is to feel love back for someone ?"

The boy was right. They were in situation they should not be in. How had Lan SIzhui even found him here. This was a place he went to cultivate. A better question was how demons found him here. He glanced around at the situation they were in. It was possible they were going to need more than just the two of them. At the same time he had complete faith they would be fine. "All you need, is to believe in yourself." he countered. "We are cultivators, and we are those that come from the divinity of the heavens." he repeated shifting his gaze to Sizhui.

"You have had to know you were different from the others, you had to have felt it." he searched the young man's expression for anything that might give away he knew what Jin was talking about. He found no such recognition on his face. Was it better to leave the boy in the dark, play like he needed help, pretend they were in some form of danger ? He decided against it. "We are a weapon, Yuan." he stated shifting his gaze to the boy. He moved swiftly his robes stirring in the hot air around them as he stepped to the young man's side. He brought his fingers up, and crossed his wrists indicating with a nod to the young man he should follow suit. "Allow the energy you feel, to travel through you, do not fight it, do not tap it down." he instructed with a small smile. "It always feels like it is simmering just under the skin when you do this." he waited even though the demons were getting closer to the pair. The lack of fear gave the demon's a reason to be wary. "Draw back like a wave." he continued instructing as he followed with the movements. "Feel the energy grow around your hands, and..." he made a gesture of offering and the waves of energy knocked the approaching demons back. "This is only the start."
