     “Good. Even if I didn’t expect you to end up caring.”       She wouldn’t admit that she cared, truthfully - and as she leaned up, putting her face into his neck to offer a few gentle kisses to his jugular, she featured a smirk.      “Though I wouldn’t recommend getting attached, love.”

“Says the one giving me little kisses.” Sebastian chuckled softly and shook his head.  He knew how to do that, that was his entire life  with every person he had met.

“I told you, you’re kinda cute. I can’t help myself.” He licked his lips and laughed, leaning back again.

She lifted herself and laid back down on top of him. “I’m only kinda cute? I think I’m really cute.”

“No, just a lil’bit.” Seb teased and ran his fingers through her hair, combing it back so he could see her face.

“Ew… why would you do that?” She laughed, jokingly pushing his face away.

“I told you, you’re kinda cute. I can’t help myself.” He licked his lips and laughed, leaning back again.

     “You do care. And we are.”       She was the one person to notice the kind of retraction in this sort of business. She knew what aversion looked like. She knew because she did the same thing to him.      “You’re just too much of an arsehole to admit it.”

“I think I being actually nice to you, you know?” He grinned a little more, he liked her; she was different from the girls he knew.

       She leaned up to look at him for a moment, and then retracted.       “You care about me,” she mumbled. And then, she paused.        “Why are you sorry?”

“I wouldn’t say I care but yeah, something like that.”

He smiled.

“And I’m sorry because it’s sad that you think that you and me are somehow alike.”
