Cosplay so far
Jacket: ✔ Shirt: ✔ Wig: ✔ Shoes: ✔ Shorts: ✔ Belt: ✔ Tights: In process... Tie: In process.. Eye contacts: Not buying. Going with my original eye colour. Hardest part is over. Now to anxiously wait for the day of the expo.
Cosplay plan
Since I'm trying to do a first complete cosplay for MCM London Expo this October, I figured I should post my progress here. By earning money from RedBubble, I managed to purchase some things for my cosplay:
The wig. I know I'm being cheap and it doesn't have bangs, but if I beg my mum enough, she'll do it for me with my instructions. (She's a hairdresser and she likes fixing wigs for me, like she did with my Ange wig)
The belt. I know the buckle isn't yellow nor golden, but that can be fixed by paint, or let it be if it's more yellowish than in the picture, when I get it. I know these are small things, but planning a cosplay (being as serious as I am) will take time. Thankfully I realized that I have black shorts already, so I think they should be suitable for the cosplay. For the boots, I think I found the perfect candidate. I don't want to buy the ones from cosplay shops, but instead I looked into ebay. So, I decided to follow my mum's advice - buy something you'd wear more than once, then you won't regret it later.
I found these. I know they don't look exactly like the ones on the figure and in the anime, but they look close enough. There have been enough cosplayers out there pulling off the cosplay with different shoes, so I decided to try it myself, too. Tomorrow, me and my mumare going to our local tailor to see if she can sew the shirt and the hoodie for us. It will cost some money, but I hope it won't be too expensive.
Did anyone else think of Izaya, when watching the latest episode of SAO?
