She led the way down the hall, ready to make up something else if another douche bag of a doctor were to question why the two were wondering the halls - it was as if all doctors thought young adults her age were delinquents or something. “You’re darn right it’s the least you could do,” Maisie teased him, elbowing him slightly. “I don’t even ‘officially’ work here, either” she chuckled, then having to catch her breath at his comment. Her brow rose in his direction. “You really think he’d take it as a compliment? That’d be the last thing I’d think of it as,” she laughed, her head shaking. “Honesty is probably best but in this situation, is it.. is it really?” She tried to be serious with the question but ended up bursting in laughter instead. “True, a lot definitely can be done in two hours,” she agreed, sending a wink of her own as she tried to keep her own blushing to a minimum.
Perking up at her statement Devyn’s brows furrowed in confusion. “ Wait-- You don’t? “ He inquired staring at her scrubs and name tag. “ Then why are you dressed like that? Don’t tell me you’re an assassin? “ He hoped he knew he was only teasing her, of course he assumed she was only a resident or maybe on a tour of the hospital like he was, but it never hurt to throw in some humor now and then. “ Well then we definitely have different tastes in compliments. “ he laughed with her while admiring every small detail that followed the sound. She was something else entirely, from the crinkle in her eye to the dimples she was perfection & devyn couldn’t get enough. “ When you put it that way I suppose honesty isn’t the best.” Devyn jested biting down on his rather chapped lips. Just when he thought the blush was going to subside she surprised him again making him glow a bright crimson once again. “ Where should we begin then...? I only have you for two hours & I intend to make the absolute most of the time.”
