{ July 9th, 2014. } Δ•| Even birds can't fly, when the skies are gray. ----- If tough times are upon you, be it a part of family leaving, divorce, an argument, don't be sad if you have lost all inspiration or interest for your hobby or favorite past time. Your thoughts seem to trail off, or you don't manage to create what you wanted to. Its all perfectly fine. You are upset, sad, angered, or somehow else reacting to the clouds upon you, and that is why you can have hard time doing what you love. But please don't fret - the clouds will dissipate, and sun will once again shine upon you. Maybe not in the same angle, but it will still show you the way to your destination.
Don't rush yourself. Give yourself all the time you need to improve at your own pace, and break down your goal into small steps. Make them as big or small as you need them to be for yourself to comfortably walk that path, and praise yourself for every step you can manage to take. Even if you take a step back or find out you took a detour, that's perfectly fine. Just don't rush yourself, and be proud of yourself for how far you've come. This path is your own, and you create it. In time, you'll reach it's destination - but it is important to take that time or you'll end up hurting yourself by trying to get there before you're ready.
—- Don’t let anything stop you from achieving your goal. If it is something you truly want, then go get it! You are strong and independent and capable of doing whatever you want whenever you want! Don’t ever doubt that, don’t ever think you aren’t strong enough because truly, you are!
Hello there, anon. First of all, thank you for entrusting us with this! All three of us will try our best to give you advice and make you feel better, because that's what we are here for.
Your story is something I myself haven't experienced, but I know many people who have the same doubt and I will tell you what I told them. Wanting the things you made or wrote to be recognized really isn't anything weird. If people respond positively to it, it's a really nice boost to your self esteem. I know how much it sucks when you post something or show people something and the reactions to it are not that excited or just not there at all. But I want you to remember that a big amount of attention doesn't equal good quality. There are many reasons the attention you wish for and deserve might not be given to you, but honestly, it isn't because the thing you created or wrote is shitty. It isn't. I understand that receiving attention is nice, because that's how it is, but you shouldn't see attention as denotation of quality, because in the end it'll only make you feel worse.
As for the day-to-day tasks that you find hard, why not try doing a little bit at a time? You don't have to throw yourself out there right away. Why not start with going for walks on your own, making your own breakfast, lunch and dinner. Why not help your mom with the chores, or go groceries shopping? Take a shower everyday, dress up everyday, spend a little bit of time outside every day. You don't have to rush it, you can take all the time you need and slowly get more used to doing day-to-day chores. I realize that you are scared to snap, to end up in the hospital, something like that is really scary, but don't let that stand in your way. Someday you'll need to be able to go out there and be fine, and even though that's hard you shouldn't let anything stop you. See everything you did without cracking as a really big, special something. Think of how you did one of those tasks and managed to stay calm, little things and small things. Keep cheering yourself up with positive thoughts instead of food. With nice clothes, a new video game or something else you enjoy you can also make yourself feel better!
As for the progress, it isn't something that happens from one day to the other. Progress sometimes does take more than just a few weeks, or months. It takes time and that sucks, especially when you feel like you haven't improved at all. But, you know, I do notice some difference from when you started. You're not harming and your way of eating and has improved and that is something really great! Things like that can be really hard, but you did it and you called it 'sure, I don't do this and I do that, but...'. Why are you putting yourself down like that? You rock!
If you aren't enjoying your hobbies anymore, then maybe you should take a break. Try getting yourself into new stuff to do, until you feel like writing or doing fashion again. There are so many different hobbies out there, why limit yourself to just the ones you have?
Life can be tough and it can suck, but don't give up yet! Keep focusing on making that progress, don't think about how bad it is going, because really, it isn't! You are doing a marvelous job and you should focus on that and that alone. Don't look back, keep looking forward. Stay positive, stay motivated. It is okay if you feel down every once in a while, but please remember to get back up. Life may be negative in a lot of ways, but it's also something really great and wonderful and you gotta keep remembering that!
Please stay strong,
Tyki-mod.
Dear anon, again thank you for trusting us enough to vent here! Tyki-mod has already said a lot of course, but nonetheless I'd like to add to it.
I think your key problem here is that your expectations are way too high at the moment. You make life so much more difficult for yourself when it doesn't have to be, because God knows it's already difficult enough as it is.
I understand that you wish to excel in the things you love, and given the fact that I have seen some of your works, I honestly believe you do; but the truth is, there is always going to be someone who is better than you. And you know what?
Who cares?
You can't be the best at everything you do, that's just not how it works; however, that doesn't mean that you aren't amazing at it regardless! And creative things like the ones you mentioned are always looked at subjectively, so it's impossible to say who's better than the other in a lot of cases. And it's not about that, either, it's about creating something you love for people who love it just as much as you do, right? That should be your focus. It's fine and natural to want recognition and positive feedback, it's only a natural thing honestly. And you deserve that recognition, but it doesn't always immediately come to you. Don't let that discourage you, please, because the attention you receive does not in any way reflect the quality of what you made!
If you really wish for more attention in that regard, however, don't be afraid to put yourself out there, point people to your works, get them to see them or even actively ask for constructive feedback! Sometimes all people need are a pointer in the right direction.
As for your improvement, hun, please don't let it get to you what people like your mother say about your progress. You said it yourself, you sleep better, you eat better, and you don't harm anymore. Is that nothing?
You've come this far already looking back to how you were those months ago. Feeling stuck where you are right now, it looks to you like you've never moved at all but you have, and you've made it this far, haven't you? You're here now, you have some improvement to show, and you're on your way up. Don't give up because you feel like you're having a drawback of sorts; fight through it!
I second Tyki-mod's suggestion to go slow and take things one step at a time. Show yourself some appreciation, and love yourself for holding on. Praise yourself for the little things you accomplish, and make yourself feel good. You've improved so much already, and look at where you can go if you keep going! Day to day tasks may seem scary now, but you have to try and stop looking at 'being fine' as a whole, unapproachable thing. Break it down into steps, and make them as tiny as you need them to be for yourself to be comfortable.
Don't expect too much of yourself or you'll keep being dissatisfied. You are amazing for coming this far, and you will continue to improve little by little until eventually you will come to the point where you realize that you managed to become fine again all on your own, without even noticing when it happened exactly. Stop chasing the seemingly unattainable, stop running when you first need to practice how to walk. Cut yourself some slack, and think about the little things.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it, just give yourself the time to go about it at your own pace. Recovery is something you cannot rush, so allow yourself to go about it calmly.
Take slow steps, and we'll hold your hand if you need us to.
Keep your head up!
Lavi-mod.
Hello there, darling. The three of us have heard you loud and clear, and I suppose it is my turn to say something. I don't know if anything that I say will be useful, since my dearest Tyki-mod and Lavi-mod have both said very much, and have pointed out brilliant things to and about you, so, please, heed them.
As little as I can add, I would like to remind you that whatever you do - play games, socialize, create you art or anything else - the ease with which it comes, it comes from the mind. If you believe that you can do something, that you can do something well, really believe it - then you can do it just the way you want it.
You are strong, oh so very strong, you just have to believe it. And you know what? Once you do that, you will find that life is the most delightful thing that one can be blessed with. And you know what? How about I tell you what helps me?
When I'm bored or just with nothing that interesting to do, I always imagine one or two light blue ribbons, which are glowing softly. I lead them around, making them spin and make loops and intertwine. It puts me at ease and helps me focus more easily. And when I hurt myself, like scrape my knee or knock against something on accident, I make the ribbons wrap around the place which I hurt. I imagine that they help me with the pain, removing it with their soft glow. And when I'm doing some really hard thinking, I always visualize them dancing around me, my head, arms, stimulating myself to resolve the issue or question which caused my confusion. Weird to most, yes, I know, but it helps me. And as long as it helps me, I don't care what others think of it. I just hope, that if they try it, that they will succeed at making themselves feel better.
Darling, remember, there is nothing that you can't do, can't get through or solve, as long as you believe that you can, and believe that you are strong. I truly think that you are capable and powerful; you just have to realize that too.
Please take care, don't push yourself, give yourself some time, and never stop believing that you can do whatever you want, because we won't stop believing in you either.
We will be here to root for you, to support you and to help you.
----Breathe, move, run, fall, get hurt, stand up, keep moving, because life is about experiencing everything. We come into this world with what time we are given, and we don't know when we'll run out of it!
So do everything you can right now!
Taste new foods, drink some juice and pet an animal! Every time you'll do it, it will be a new experience, because you get wiser and older by the minute!
{ June 2nd, 2014. } |• Don't be so hard on yourself. ------- Look around you - you're here! You're doing great! Don't over do it simply because you felt the need to keep going. Take a break now. Breathe. The most important thing is that you feel well about yourself and your surroundings, so don't rush. You should just sit back for a moment and realize that you are doing okay.
█ After the game, the King and the pawn go in the same box █
----You may go down the street and see someone dressed in a suit or someone walking with scraps. Your boss may be mean to you or your underling may be nasty.
It doesn't really matter who they are or pretend to be. At the end of the day, we are all still humans, we all need the same thing and we are all the same. Just because someone may be more important or appear better - it doesn't mean that that they aren't the same as you.

❥ They say your good traits are written on your back.
—- You can’t see them, but others can. Other people recognize your talents, because trust me, you are talented. Your talent may be something small to you, something not even worth calling a talent, but others might be inspired by it. You do have good traits, you aren’t worthless or talentless. You just have to recognize those talents yourself and if we or anyone else can help you with that, we’d all gladly do!
{ June 27th, 2014. } ^°^ You just have to know how to roll the dice in this game of life... ------ Up and down, all around! This life seems to carry you all round the place, to the most interesting and unusual places! This also, though, includes the not so pleasant places. Yet, even that is just a part of the game we call life. This is just a gamble, and all you have to do is roll the dice and pray that you won't roll a bad number.
Growing up is terrifying. The future is terrifying. I know that just as well as the next person. But you know what? You are not alone in this. No one just wakes up one day and has their shit together. I know it feels like you need to rush, to grow up and know exactly what you want to do but the truth is, it's perfectly normal to be scared and it's one hundred percent okay to take your time. So what if it looks like everyone else knows exactly what they're doing? Truth is, they don't. And you don't have to, either. It's okay to be scared - don't let it bring you down. You can do it, just keep going and find your way - on your own time.
{ June 25th, 2014. } |Δ| The sunshine will always return! -----Dark clouds will always loom around, seeking for their chance to grab ahold of your skies, shielding away your light. You have to learn that those clouds will not be there forever, and that you must keep strong, even during the thickest of times, because your sunshine is just behind those clouds, smiling and waiting.
{ June 24th, 2014. } ]||{ Think about yourself in the future! ---- The days seem long, tough and hard to deal with, bringing us down quite a bit. Often, one only wishes to lay down and sleep. I, myself, really want to watch a movie while cuddling with someone. Alas, sometimes, dreams are just too hard to achieve at the moment. So how about you try and think about making it true in the future! Just think about it - you will have even more experiance and resources! And even if you don't have a dream, so what? You can still be having a tough time! What I am saying, is that when you ascend to future, and look back at yourself now, you will realize, that everything you have went through, was worth it.
Is your glass half full or half empty? Either way, it carries weight, doesn't it? And the longer you hold it, the heavier it begins to feel for you. Set that glass down sometime and allow your arm some time to rest, and your burden will end up feeling a little lighter, a little more bearable all by itself! Seriously, how about a "treat yourself"-day? Grab your favorite foods, that one movie that always makes you smile, curl up under your blankets in your pyjamas and talk only to the people you feel like talking to. Try it - just treat yourself.
—- It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to let all your emotions, worries and frustrations out. It takes a lot to open up to someone, it’s hard. But doing so means you’re strong. Being sad is not a flaw or a crime, it’s okay. We’re all sad sometimes, but remember please to cheer up again. You’re much more beautiful when a smile graces your lips and if we can help with that, we’d gladly do so!
