Strictly Business (Open RP w/ Simon)
A famous band had appeared in the area, ready to hit off a big concert. But it was a day before, of course, and the band was sold out.
For the most part.
Outside of the stadium where the concert would be held was a teenager selling scalped tickets to the masses. It was fair, right? First come, first serve. And if Simon had bought out a majority of the tickets, well… He guessed that’s just how the cookie crumbled.
“I-I can’t believe it!” a mother exclaimed as she held the tickets in her hand, “Thank you so much for selling these! I thought they were sold out! My kids will love this!”
Simon tapped out a message on his phone and held it out, as it read, “No need to thank me. How abysmal was it that the arena was withholding these tickets to the masses?” A lie. But no one had to know that.
He shook the mother’s hand and motioned for someone else to step up. Business as usual for the silent broker.
Malachi was next in line- he knew he was paying an asinine price for the tickets, but frankly… he didn’t care. He had more money than he knew what to do with, and figured it would be fun pull his usual antics. He chewed a piece of sugar free gum, forming it into small bubbles before loudly snapping them.
The short kid stepped forward, pulling out an impressive bundle of cash before proceeding to count out several twenty dollar bills.
“Three tickets, if you would.” he demanded, snapping his gum and holding the cash out towards Simon. He didn’t look like the type to be interested in the band in question, nor the type to go to concerts in the first place. He was short, somewhat pudgy, and looked to be a bit of a loner, if not socially awkward.
Simon blankly stared at the kid when he popped a bubble, but his mood quickly changed when he saw the money held out towards him. Right to the point. Just like Simon liked it.
Taking it and re-counting it out, he slid a map across the makeshift desk and began to run his finger amidst the seats.
He typed out a message, “...Are you sure that you came on the right day? This band seems too.... O_o.” He ended his message with an emoticon; surprisingly the emoticon was a lot more expressive than Simon was himself.
