“Why am I the one who has to deal with these sassy lost children?” Rohan muttered to himself, as his mood plummeted while Josuke’s continued to rise. “If you’re not intent on going to school then maybe you should wear something besides the same school uniform you always wear.” Seriously he was still wearing it after graduating, it was like he was a manga character or something.

Rohan walked now with his pockets in the hands of his sagging pants. His encounter with Josuke having degraded his posture that much. It would be over soon though, as long as he could manage to find his way in this crazy town. 

“If you’re not laughing at me then what are you laughing at?” Rohan asked as he was determined to find the source of his laughter. It was an obvious lie, but Rohan’s senses always blurred when it came to Josuke. “You always seem like such a stoic guy what could you possibly find so funny?”

“Ehhh? It’s my fashion, y’know, fashion,” the teenager whined. “Not that you’d know anything about fashion outside of expensive designer names,” he rolled his eyes, folding his arms behind his head. Talk about annoying. He didn’t feel any remorse for continuing to wear his school uniform - especially the green shirt with the zippers built in. That was one of his favorite outfit combinations!

He unfolded his arms after a while and allowed them to hang at his sides like pendulum parts, staying quiet for a bit after Rohan’s question. Josuke had no desire to answer Rohan’s questions, but figured that he aught to for (yet another) laugh.

“Okay, okay. What I find funny is your face, Rohan,” Josuke spoke before laughing once more to drive the point home. It may not be what he was actually laughing at, but he found that the childish insult would both probably annoy Rohan more and make him stop asking questions.

“Anyway, did I tell you? I can summon something, too. I wouldn’t exactly call her a Stand, but she can fight for me. And… I suppose she does stand next to me. If I order her too. She can’t really do a lot right now, but… Lucifer’s still nice to have.”

“Ha, well - maybe I just ain’t trained in the art of Stands, but it sure sounds like one to me!” Even though it technically wasn’t a Stand, Josuke was still a bit green to the whole idea of a spiritual being protecting him.  He had only a few years to get used to the idea of Stands even existing as a entity. “It’s always nice to have someone with you like that, right? It’s like me with Crazy Diamond.”

Ange looked over in Josuke’s direction once she heard his vague last sentence. It was obviously someone he knew, at least a little bit. 

“Other dude? Who?”

“... He’s a famous mangaka where I’m from.” 

He frowned, scratching the back of his neck. Josuke did feel bad for burning down the mangaka’s house, but he had saved his life. That was enough payment back, right? Josuke groaned at the thought of the mangaka’s face, folding his arms behind his head.

Sorry for all the slow responses! I’ve been beat down with a cold and I started playing FFXIV again, among some other things. I’ll drop the dance threads since... it’s been a while since that event ended and I’ll slowly get to my other responses!! I’m really sorry orz

When he heard Josuke moaning behind him, Rohan nearly winced. He could already tell his wrinkles were going to increase threefold from this encounter alone. “I guess there lies the difference between you and me, Josuke. You get angry far too easily. Try having a little perspective. To a mangaka every week is like starting fresh, because no matter how much material you have built up you could be canceled at any moment due to a slip in popularity.”

The insecurity that had driven him to once tear pages off of Koichi’s face. Rohan was always very blatant about it, and just about everything. Subtlety was not his forte. He was also a little bit in his own worlds, walking and talking with powerful strides leaning only slightly to compensate for the weight of the art bag he carried, he did not notice at all the tongue stuck out at him.

“Hey! Hey hey hey hey! What are you laughing at anyway?” He snapped, as he had no idea why. Had he lost to Josuke a second time so soon? How did that pompadour prince always manage to defeat him? Rohan scoffed, trying to cover up for his outburst a moment ago, “I’m glad too, but only because it means I won’t have to take any more unscheduled hiatuses.”

Then a simple curiosity, “What about you Josuke, do you think you’ve changed since Moiroh?”

Josuke chortled. “Whatever, Rohan. If I wanted life lessons, I’d be in school right now rather than being lost.” He gave the other a rather large eyeroll in response, too, to show how much he appreciated his lesson.

He was still a teenager, despite his insistence. Eighteen years old was still ended with -teen, after all, and the older male still had many years over Josuke. That didn’t mean he had that much respect for this elder, though.

“I’m not laughing at anything!” He snorted inbetween his laughter, covering his mouth with one hand and shaking the other at him. “I promise it’s not at you, anyways.” Most likely a blatant lie. Josuke couldn’t help but grin after his laughter - the expelling of the nervousness and awkwardness that only a teenager could have had lightened his mood.

“Horrible… yeah, that’s one way to put it. But I have my family back now. My brother and his wife are here. Two my aunts, as well. It’s nice to have them back.”

Ange nodded, but secretly intended on paying next time anyway. After all, it wasn’t fair for her to make him pay if she had so much more than him. Maybe she’d have to figure out a way to do it stealthily, so he won’t realize she’d paid until it was too late.

“Is it just your nephew here? Or are there others? Do they also have this… what was it called, ‘Stand’ ability?”

“Well, at least there’s a happy ending,” he smiled happily, tilting his head to the side, folding his arms behind his back. “I wonder where a lot of my family is... but I’m glad they’re not here. My mom doesn’t have a Stand, and.. well, I guess the others do, but..”

He paused. A lot of them had stand abilities on the Joestar side. He guessed it was just mercy that he didn’t want them here - an unknown world with unknown enemies with abilities much greater than Stands made him anxious.

“As far as I know, it’s just me, my nephew, and one other dude,” he sighed, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
