Diana Lillian Hayes. The eldest child. It's a trait that seems ingrained in her psyche, no one's doing but her own. Edwin and Leah did everything they could to make sure their children had every luxury at their disposal within reason.

Their Hagfield property had been passed through several generations, Diana joining the rest of the farmhands as a little girl simply because she wanted to. Taking care of something lit a sense of pride aflame in her.

While her younger brother, Jordan, was the athlete amidst their clan, Diana was the scholar. From a very early age, teachers spoke to her academic potential and she did well in all of her classes growing up.

Love was not hard to come by in her early years. Family and friends were always abounding, and at times some wondered if she ever felt sad. Ever felt pain.

Even if she was a quieter soul, Diana was able to find a close-knit circle who she found comfort in spending time with all through high school. She quickly learned that it wasn't hard for her to make friends, she just had to find the right people.

Diana was ready to go to school in Chicago. See the world. When her college acceptance letter came, the day truly was a dream come true. Initially she planned on studying Forensic Science, but made a transfer into the psychology program in the middle of her first semester. She had always wanted to help people, but wasn't quite sure how until now.

During her Sophomore year, her mother passed away after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. Something in her felt selfish for living so far away, which caused her to transfer to a school a bit closer to home and finish out her degree. For the rest of her education, she would commute to and from her institution. Diana Lillian Hayes. The eldest child.

At twenty-one, she sits down to have a conversation with her brother Jordan that starts by saying two words: I'm gay. Following this, she had never felt more free.

At the age of twenty-seven, she relocates to New York City where she begins working at a successful practice looking to assist more patients. It is also during this time that she meets and falls in love with Irene Porter, a barista at her local coffee shop. The two fall in love, getting married after a whirlwind romance a year later.

Shortly after their second wedding anniversary, talks began about a baby. Something in Diana had always wanted to be a mother, again, that love for taking care. That feeling was soon replaced by a feeling of foolishness when she walked in on her wife cheating on her with a male coworker. The affair had been happening for six months.

When it came time to move Edwin Hayes into a care home, Diana began to feel a familiar pull. A pull to go home. But she had clients here, people who needed her. But so did her family.

Then, the murders started. First came Miyeon, a friend of the Hayes family. By the time the second body dropped, Diana had bought a place on Hove Lake and had packed up and sold her apartment.

She's recently been given the keys to a space to host her own private practice, moving her things in and getting everything situated. However, the longer she stays in her hometown the quicker she's realized that she's going to have to put the pieces together faster than anticipated..

While Diana seems extremely calm and collected, some of her favorite music comes from the Rock 'N Roll genre.

Has two cats, a tabby by the name of Margo and a black cat named Midnight.

Would rather spend her time with her nose in a book instead of going out.

Struggles heavily to take her own advice. Even though she certainly should.

While she's struggling to put herself out there again as a consistent romantic partner due to some heavy trust issues, when Diana loves, she loves hard.

Did have one serious ex-girlfriend in high school but they broke up because Diana was not ready to come out of the closet. Not even her siblings know about this relationship.

𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐓 weaker. The moment that she learns her brother is in a coma she has been beside herself, running on pretty damn shitty coffee and hope. She has become used to those two things being a source of energy, from the police station to the hospital -- it seemed that from the moment she had returned she had gotten not a singular moment of rest. It is clear in her face as it lights up when she sees who is nearby, her best friend. The only person who has ever made her feel like she could lean on him.

"Harrison..." The woman murmurs, her voice coming out almost like a whimper. "Oh thank god you're here..."

𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐈𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅. Following the events at the club, the sight of Jordan being wheeled off into the ambulance will forever be imprinted in her mind. It's a reminder that she failed, failed to protect her brother in the time when he needed her the most. And that? That is something she will have to live with for the rest of her life. She appears to be merely a shell of a human being in the hospital -- staring at the floor as she waits for a sign, something, anything. When she does finally decide to go get a cup of coffee, that is when she hears a voice that is all too familiar. "Alex." The woman says rather bluntly, eyes filling with tears as she tries to keep them back. "Come here."

It’s no wonder people are pooling out from the club into the evening air.   It’s suffocating in there,  filled with liquor and something akin to falsified salvation.  He had arrived for the respects and promptly left for a cigarette,  now the night breeze is soothing and he finds little motivation to return to the masses.   Diana had always been affable and while there was no proper friendship made,  there’s an appreciation for how she seemed to keep a tight grip on her self-awareness.   Admirable to say the least.    Zekai wasn’t expecting her to agree,  but either way the cigarette is offered,  palm splayed open with both lighter and cigarette atop.   ‘It’s been a night of what the hells,    hasn’t it?’   Lips twitch upwards in a small smile,  although it is sad in nature.   ‘The nicotine will help.’

𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒𝐍'𝐓 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐇𝐎𝐖 she's survived this long in there. The term fake it till you make it seems to ring extremely true in this situation, even though the taste is extremely bitter on her lips. While Diana knows that she's made a career out of opening her heart and her ears for other people, the brunette knows that even she isn't indestructible. "Too many of them." Diana nods, letting out a gentle sigh as her eyes fall along the crutch between her fingers. "I just think of everything I've been told to say to my patients.. grief is a natural process. And it is, of course it is. Just feels empty until you experience it yourself." The flame from the lighter in her other hand dances in the night blackness, taking a deep drag once the flame takes. "Those people in there... I worry for this place. For them."

Like hornets from a kicked nest they swarm.  He supposes it’s human nature:  once there’s a threat, there comes the panic.  While he realizes there is a killer among all of them,  he wonders what precisely differentiates his own career overseas to that on this soil.  Blood is still spilled,  yet here he lingers between worlds.  Half-limbed and morbidly sober.  Zekai stands outside,  cigarette dangling from between his lips and lighter illuminating his face alongside the neon signs of the club.  A nod towards the figure stepping out to join him,  ‘I only have two left,  the last one’s yours if you want it.’

𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐘 in need of fresh air, the crowded nature of the club becoming far too much for her. While she often encouraged her patients to go through the process of grief, she had always done so in a manner that was healthy. Watching the citizens of the town stumbling across the club including one of her own patients had put several things into perspective. "Oh shit -- hi, Zekai." Diana ran her fingers through her hair as she made her way over to the familiar face. While she hadn't smoked a cigarette since New York.. there were certain exceptions. "Ah, what the hell. I'll take it."

The brunette is certainly a bit dazed when her attention is initially called upon. However, her demeanor changes once she registers the question. "Oh.. well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt, thank you for your kindness. But I don't know if I could drink it all by myself."

𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 by coming home, everything in her life would fall back into place again. She'd be home with her family, people who loved her. She wouldn't feel so alone like she had after her ex-wife's infidelity, but she had never felt more overwhelmed until now. Her phone was ringing off the hook, but there were times when she had wanted nothing more than to just get in her car, start driving and never return. She had spent all these years fighting for the betterment of others, but had never given herself the same care.

The farm had always brought her back to center, which is why she stood outside despite the clouds looming overhead. She assumes she is alone in the expanse of the yard, but the footsteps against the mud had been hard to miss. For the past few days, it seemed like the sky had been crying with them. "I feel lost." She eventually says, eyes remaining shut and not turning around.

𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐋𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓 died today. It's something that weighs on an already cracked heart as she careens through the halls like a shot, demanding to see him. Not asking, demanding. There are very few times when the otherwise quiet church mouse roars -- and this is one of them. When he is involved. When she finally makes it to his room, the woman lets out a sigh of relief as she receives visual confirmation about his well being. He's okay. A hand lays across her heart as she takes a seat next to him, still trying to process that he is actually alive. But it is then that it hits her: the woman he loves isn't. And she murdered twenty-six people. How does one take news like that?

"Motherfucker, you scared me --" Diana is able to get out as she takes a seat next to him, arms wrapping around him initially with force, but becoming gentler once she remembers: he was stabbed. "How are you? How are you feeling? Do you need anything?" Even in distress, Diana never stops being the mother hen. It is truly engrainged in her DNA.

Dylan was walking down the path looking at all the booths when a cutie caught her eye. "Okay, on a scale of 1-10, how cute do you think that guy is?" she questioned, she was tired of this lonely sexless lifestyle. She was frustrated all everyone seemed to care to talk to her about was Charlie.

𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 other woman with a friendly smile before looking back to the man she was referring to. Perhaps Dylan and Diana had built a bit of an unspoken kinship, considering the actions of their siblings. It seemed that Diana only entered the forum these days to stop Jordan from saying something stupid. "While I may not bat for that team... he's good-looking. I would say go for it." Her eyes scour the crowd, hoping to find a new face she hasn't seen or slept with before. And then she does. "What are the odds you think I could get her to go home with me?"

"She'd be disappointed in me, wouldn't she?" His words got choked up as he spoke. It hurt to sit there with his sister. He had spent so long trying to avoid this that he had unknowingly sent himself into a spiral for years. "For everything I've done.. she'd be disappointed in who I am.. For Love, Daisy, Dallas, Heather.. Fuck." He tried holding the emotion back as much as he could. Jordan didn't have a good track record with any woman. The last healthy relationship he had, ended in him running away because she got pregnant. Another thing he screwed up.

𝐆𝐎𝐃, 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 𝐎𝐍 his face is killing her. "She'd be disappointed if you didn't try to be better." Diana finds herself able to say. Sometimes she wondered if her mother would be disappointment in her too, for not letting herself breathe. For feeling like the loss of her relationship was all her fault. "How do you think you can do that?" She thinks back to the sight of Dallas, drunk on her doorstep. Does she tell him? Does she tell him that had been him who caused that? "I love you, kid. Whatever you need from me, I'll be there. Just say the word. But you can't keep going on like this." She wipes away the tears that have continued to fall. "What do you want? Who do you want?"

Hearing not only his moms name but Daisys name, made Jordan feel a lump in his throat. He hated thinking about the two of them, hated the feeling of disappointment in himself that came with thinking about them. He cleared his throat in an attempt to control his emotions. He never talked about his mom, he had since he was 15. "Of course, this isn't the fucking dad I want to be. You think I pictured it like this?" He was ashamed of himself. "You don't understand how hard this shit is.. I don't know what I'm doing here, Diana. I just-.. I always thought I'd have mom to help me. You know, with girls and Daisy.."

𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐀'𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐒 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 she sees the reaction her words have elicited, but she knows it what he needs to hear. What the both of them need to hear. "Of course I don't.." She knows her brother, and this is the last thing he ever wanted for himself. For their family. "I may not be mom, I'll never be her.. I don't know how anyone could possibly live up to what an amazing woman she was." A soft smile breaks through her tears at the thought of her mother's memory, but it falls after thinking about how badly she too wants to be a mother. "I never got to tell mom I'm gay. She never got to meet Irene. I didn't have her when Irene cheated on me.. but I am constantly trying to be better. For her. For mom. And even if sometimes I may fall.." She pauses, the tears coming faster. "....I can look at myself in the mirror and say, well, at least I'm trying. I want that for you. Jordan.. you still have time. It isn't over." A hand reaches out to rest on her brother's shoulder. "I've got you, okay? I'll be here to pick you up when you fall, to help you when you need me. No matter what."

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐈𝐒 something she is more than happy to be released from. Not that she minds volunteering, but because she can still feel Lakeyn's icy demeanor looming over her. She knows she's grieving, of course she does. But does she think if she hadn't slept with Diana, she and Mckenna could have more time? Either way, she can't think about that now -- there's fun to be had. Of course, when she heard that her sister was forced to work the dunk tank, she'd be there first, tickets ready.

"One set of balls, please." Diana says with a smirk, making sure that her sister can hear her seated on the platform. "Ready little sis?"

Jordan ran his hand over his face, sighing loudly as he knew that he was going to have to give in and be honest with his sister. "Alright, jesus.. I said something about Heather fucking him in the back office because we've hooked up there too." He leaned his head back against the couch, tilting it so that he could still look at her from where he was. His head felt muddy and he didn't know if it was from the punch to the face he just gotten or if everything was starting to really come down on him. "Di.. Am I a bad person?"

𝐀𝐌 𝐈 𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐃 person? The question rang out in the air more than she cared to admit. "No, Jordan. You're not a bad person." She says quietly, realizing only then how much her palms were sweating, how nervous she was to tell him the truth when her entire career had been built on telling people things that they might not be ready to hear. "But I need you to think about the person you see in the mirror. Because sometimes I wonder.. if I failed you. After mom died." Man, the weight that lifted off her chest after saying those words. "I let you get away with so much shit, because we were all hurting. It's why I moved home. And I guess I never realized how much I was hurting too --" A breath hitches in her throat. "Do you like the person you are? Because.. I've been worried about you. The shit you say in the forum.. are you the person you want to be for Daisy? The dad you want to be? The partner you want to be?"

It was hard for Jordan to look at Diana now. He knew that she knew he'd done something stupid, again. He didn't go out trying to disappoint his older sister, but somehow he found himself constantly doing it. "I, uh, I went to Moon to see Heather and her employee with a God complex wanted to boss me around." He looked down at his hands in his lap, wishing even more now that they were holding a beer instead of fidgeting together. "And alright, I may have said some shit about Heather and yeah it wasn't nice, but he threw the first punch so mine was completely self-defense." Already trying to put himself on the innocent end of things by playing the self-defense card, as if he hadn't just said he was the cause for it all to start with.

"𝐉𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐍, 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐈 love you, right? You're my brother. You'll always be my baby brother." Of course she means it. People learn from their mistakes. Whatever it was, he could grow past it. However, she just couldn't let go of the fact that there was something he was refusing to tell her. "Jordan..." She repeated, letting him know that she simply was not buying it. "If you said something about Heather that caused him to punch you... it's gotta be more than just a flippant comment.." He could grow from this. However, he had to admit what was really going on. The Hayes siblings had never been very good at that, Diana included. "Stop trying to paint yourself out as the angel here, Jordan. If you don't tell me the truth, I cannot help you. You know that."

𝐊𝐈𝐓 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐍. 𝐎𝐅 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐄 she knows the name and the success he possesses. How could anyone forget? However, there are a couple other things she is aware of. He had been the one to find Max, beaten within an inch of his life following his disappearance and Marcus' death. A close friend of the recently deceased Mckenna Ford. From what she could note, those that he cared for were falling around him and yet, he still stood. It was what Diana called survivor's guilt, when you wonder how could all this happen, but not to you. Even still, she was glad to see his face as he entered for their very first session.

"Mr. Blackthorn -- or Kit?" She had followed the forum close enough to know that this was what he preferred to be called. Not that she'd let him know that. "The pleasure is all mine. I'm Diana, or Dr. Hayes."
