She is wise but humble, and stern yet childlike. She is mighty yet mild and passionate yet patient. She has time for the needy and food for the hungry and she is not afraid of a mighty challenge. She roars at danger and embraces life’s hurdles with boldness and assurance, and climbs the mountains she faces with grace and dignity in tow. She is discerning and attentive, and she listens to the unspoken word and His Spirits whisper. She brings an energy and a flame, she is a light that cannot be tamed, and she is compassion beyond capability. She is the embrace in the stillness and the gentle push in the battle, and she bares fruit that is ripened and sweet. She is welcoming and accepting; of scars, of loneliness and of pain; and she intercedes in the depths of the damage. She is an encourager, a woman who’s tongue holds sincerity and power and she speaks life into all she sees. She is loyal and willing to put her desires aside for the greater good. She is passionate and kind and prioritises the healing of the heart. She is a dreamer, a doer, a thinker and a prayer. She stands on the edges of cliffs and screams readiness at the storms of life, and runs through the crashing and rolling thunder without hesitation. She is mighty but sensitive; a delicate flower that feels deeply and loves deeper. She speaks truth even when it hurts and she protects even when the war wages. She is the woman who inspires you to grow, to change, to create and to be. She is there for the short term, the mid term and the long term in this life, without a demand or expectation of anything in return. She thinks wholesomely, laughs contagiously and loves fervently. She is inspiration, she is excitement, she is life.

I have learned the weight of words and the limits of elastic skin. It was once one hell of a year and that too has changed. Storms that once raged calm without warning, without reason. No matter what is going on in life, we can find a reason to thank God. We choose what we focus on. We can either focus on our problems, or we can focus on our blessings. The question is: do you want more problems, or do you want more blessings? When you thank God, you are focusing on the blessing!

One thing I’ve noticed is that when you live with an attitude of constant gratitude, not only do you thank God for what He’s done in your life, you start thanking Him for what He will do in your life. You thank Him for opening doors for you. You thank Him for increasing you. You thank Him for bringing the right people into your life. When you say “Thank You” to God for the things that are coming, it’s really a declaration of your faith in Him. You are saying in essence, “God, I’m so sure of Your goodness, I’m so sure that You’re working in my life that I’m going to thank You right now for what You are going to do tomorrow!”

Today, have an attitude of gratitude. Let your faith say, “Thank You.” Praise Him throughout the day with a humble heart and watch what He will do on your behalf!
