Mittens and stopping littles using their hands is such a big thing for me!
It enforces the Daddy role, with no use of their hands, they are completely reliant on you as a CG!
Any buckles and restraints are guaranteed to stay where you put them.
No more removing diapers when you aren’t watching them.
No more hands inside their diapers.
No more removing the plug in their bottom.
Watching them struggle as they try to hold their bottle with both hands is the cutest!
It makes littles feel and act more vulnerable.
No more sneaking into the sweeties cupboard, it’s impossible to unwrap any candy with these on!
They definitely get cranky after being in them for a few days!
It becomes far more intense for the CG, possibly not a negative, but, be aware, you will be needed for everything, not just when it suits you!
It’s vital that you regularly clean both their hands and inside the mittens- tantrums are almost guaranteed when you remove them! It can lead to lots of upsetting tears and tantrums, which of course is upsetting seeing your little distraught.
They can no longer suck their thumb obviously, so, if your little is a thumb sucker, an extra large paci (so they can pick it up themselves) pinned to their chest is very important!
They can still use their hands to rub their diapers, this is NOT to be used as a means to prevent naughty ones from stimulating theirselves! (Though most mittens have D-rings, so, you can use these in imaginative ways)
No koala hugs! I love to feel my little holding me in a tight grip :(
