A man making your nervous system feel relaxed is the floor not the ceiling. For too long you’ve accepted men who cause you anxiety, relationships that suck your life force, so when you meet someone you instantly feel safe with, someone who you connect with on every level, you mistake this person for being the one. You completely drop your guard, your knickers, you bare your soul, you welcome him into your world, and the only thing he had to do was make you feel safe. The sad part is the feeling of safety from a man is so foreign, you mistake it for more than it actually is. The floor not the ceiling.

The floor being this is what I deserve on a very foundational level. So instead of collapsing into the arms of the man who soothes your nervous system. You keep your standards intact. Your legs remain closed. Your heart remains guarded, until time reveals this mans true intentions. Because when you give a man you’ve just met your everything, he’ll drop you every time. Time will be your greatest teacher when it comes to men. So instead of picking yourself up of the floor wondering what the hell just happened, you raise your standards. You do better and you remember, feeling safe is the floor not the ceiling.
