this is your gentle reminder to stop fighting against your adhd and instead structure your life around it
buy a pack of chapsticks and put one in the pocket of all of your coats and jackets because you always forget to bring one and chapped lips is sensory hell
leave important things where you can see them. if they go in a box or a drawer you will forget they exist
put any appointments or deadlines in your phone calendar As Soon As you get them. set a reminder for a week before, a day before, an hour before, as many as you need as often as you need them.
when that little voice in your head says "i dont need to write that down, ill remember it" that is the devil talking!!! write it down anyway!!
plan for down time. have a few hours at the end of every day to just do fun stuff like engage in your hyperfixations. even if you didnt get all of your work done that day, have the rest anyway. you probably spent the whole day beating yourself up for not doing what you Should be doing, so you still need the break.
if you never eat vegetables because its too much effort to chop and cook them, get the frozen or canned shit. it doesnt go off for ages and you just have to microwave it. theres no point buying fresh vegetables if they just keep going off and being left to rot in the bottom of your fridge
if you struggle to decide what to have for dinner every day, take the decision out of it. choose a set of meals and eat those on rotation until you get sick of them, then choose some new ones and do it again.
its not stupid if it works! our brains literally have a chemical deficiency. you are allowed to accommodate yourself. go forth and stop making your life more difficult than it has to be because "this shouldn't be this hard". it is hard, so make it easier.
You are allowed to accommodate yourself.
These are all great practical tips! Having ADHD I can confirm these work, knowing how you think; what your habits are and planning around it do make the day go easier. Other tips that help me is visual reminders. Take some sticky notes and write yourself a reminder with an eye catching doodle so you look at it often. Put it somewhere you will see it a lot. Make new ones over time or it will become invisible eventually. Let your friends help if they are the type who are receptive, hanging out too late at night? Tell your friends to help remind you to go to bed at a certain times.
If I'm not in the middle of somthing when I think of doing a Task- I try to get it done in the next 5 to 10 minutes or at least start it. It can be easy to talk yourself out of doing somthing given enough time between the thought and when it's time to act. MAKE THINGS FUN!! Gotta clean your house? put on some music. Gotta do the dishes? watch a movie. Gotta run some errands around town? Go somewhere fun in-between your stops. Have a boring waiting room appointment? Bring a book. If you have trouble getting to the task; practice making the task itself more enjoyable if you can.
It was national unicorn day but I forgot to post here, hope a shark unicorn can still count. Made with colored pencils and mixed media.
The consequences of shutting down the Institute of Museum and Library Services would be particularly dire for smaller museums and rural muse
Donald Trump signed an Executive Order to defund libraries!
SHOW UP FOR OUR LIBRARIES! 📚 CONTACT YOUR CONGRESSPEOPLE!
Here’s a couple actual links to concrete things you can do to help, as determined by the American Library Association, who already stopped this maniac from doing this once. There are many smart & experienced people fighting for libraries & museums, but they need your help too.
This link allows you to send your personal library story directly to Congress: https://oneclickpolitics.global.ssl.fastly.net/messages/edit?promo_id=23577
And this is a straightforward petition you can sign in about a minute: https://action.everylibrary.org/eoimls2025
And if you want an easy way to contact your Congresscritters directly, text 50409 or search for ResistBot on Telegram to email, call or fax you Congresscritters. Libraries support democracy & are the last free reliably available 3rd Space in America. This is absolutely an emergency as serious as any of the other major institutional destructions so far this year.
In a new executive order, President Trump has targeted the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the federal agency charged with

This is a reminder that march 7-14 is an amazon blackout. Don't buy from Amazon during this time. Your money has power. YOU have power. When we work together we can show that the actions of this government and companies supporting it are unacceptable.
We demand change.
Tell everyone you know. Support local and small businesses where you can. Support minority businesses. We CAN make a difference.
This is organized by the people's union usa.
You can only eat 2 foods for the next 2 years (with no health repercussions)
Spin this wheel twice to figure out what they are!
Are you happy with your new food palette?
Literally a dream come true
Pretty satisfied, all things considered
It's fine I guess...
Ugh. I'm counting down the days until this ends
I FUCKING HATE THIS 😤 AAAAA
Hey, the ACLU is getting people to send letters to your Reps to have Congress pass the No Kings Act.
This act would make constitutional amendments to ensure that even sitting presidents are held liable for their actions. That NOBODY is above the law.
Their goal is 150k messages sent and at the time of writing this they're about 2.1k off from that goal!
ACLU gives you a prefilled message that you can edit to send to make the process easier, and will send it out for you.
The Supreme Court declared that criminal law doesn’t apply when you’re Donald Trump or any other president using the powers of the office. D
This only takes a few minutes!
Less than 800 away now!
Painting for my grandma’s birthday last month. She loves to bird watch but her eyes aren’t the best anymore. So I wanted to make her this chart of backyard birds native and migratory to Iowa, by making their shapes and colors bolder simplified for easier readability.

Inspired by this post by @alex-just-vibing. PaliRev values the contribution of all people to the liberation of Palestine, and we encourage you to share this around your schools or with others to give accessible options for us all to show solidarity for the Palestinian people.
Me too! Unfortunately, searching up ways for students who can't drive, spend money, or drop school for a week to show solidarity for Palesti
[image id: an image with a white background, bordered on the bottom left and top right with green, corner illustrations, an olive garden branch drawing on the bottom right, and a drawing of a boy sitting down with a backpack leaning on him, looking downwards sadly on the top right. there is a low opacity palestinian flag behind black text reading "HOW DO I SUPPORT PALESTINIAN RESISTANCE IF I CAN'T DONATE?" below this is a list in smaller black text, bulleted with light green arrows. the list reads:
"- Wear shirts, pins, keffiyehs, anything outwardly pro Palestine.
Email your Representatives, Congress, White House. Tell the people in charge you want a ceasefire.
Talk to your local library about holding an educational night about the genocide and/or Palestinian culture.
Make schoolwork about Palestine! Writing about news? Focus on Palestine. Making questions for a test? Use Palestine as an example.
Find social media accounts for your representatives and schools, and make a fuss. Comment and @ them!
Show up to local actions (i.e. protests), join and organization, and follow Palestinian journalists! (next line) - Motaz Azaiza, Plestia Alaqad, Hind Khoudary, Bisan Owda -
Educate yourself on anti-Palestine talking points (Palestine toolkit) and how to refute them in a calm manner.
Speak up! It's scary, but don't let other people's bigotry go unchecked. You'll find that other people agree, and speak up from your example.
Don't engage with people unwilling to learn. Your goal is to educate people who are and make those comfortable with genocide feel UNCOMFORTABLE."
