Excerpt from "Oil, Refinery, Smoke"

There's a smog that just hangs on the whole town

Product of the refinery -smoke

Drenchinging the city -with cold

Dense

Haze

The oil sunk deep in the ground

And it's the oil that's tainted this town 

It's the oil that seeps from my skin 

The feeling of all I have missed

What I’ve lost

What I'd give 

To see the light or the color again
