my project for the last week or so!! Atretus Aal-Zaharan, Primarch of the Second Legion, the Sandworms! Im a huge dune fan heheh

I'll definitely be making more for them slowly and surely but here is some brief stuff:

Legion kept small by order of the Primarch, once a rebel leader on the death world of Zaharan. Fighting styles and tactics include subterranean tunnel warfare, close quarters fighting, and usage of many created disposable devices/tactics (poisons, explosives) to defeat larger forces. They are masters of improvised "dirty" fighting, encouraged to take any measures necessary to force their foe into submission. When Atretus was introduced to his Legion, he began to train them to prevail against any amount of discomfort or fear through extensive training and meditation to grant them awareness of the power of the mind over the body...much like his own mysterious upbringing did to him on Zaharan, a planet once under Imperial Rule...

For Atretus was raised to one day kill the Emperor and free the native peoples that raised him...

Also atretus wields two twin power daggers as his primary weapons i think!!!

Rebel leader guy with wisdom skills, likes his space and his freedom. Eager. Sort of a trickster type that struggles with earning the trust of his brothers. Dry sense of humor 🥺

You draw him so perfectly, I can’t wait to see what your vision is

Aaah thank you! 😭💚 Mortarion's Daemon Prince form is tricky for me because I really like his canonical design, but also could absolutely have a lot of fun trying to do it from scratch. 🫠 I think the main thing I'd change would be to make his facial changes a bit more subtle and keep his features more reminiscent of his pre-daemon form (just so that his face is still recognizable), and lean on the moth motif for the wings more. I only have so many spoons currently and couldn't do a full-on clean design, but here's a try from a few days ago!
