MXTX made this super powerful ghost king male lead, and she could have made him this suave, confident, sexy, domineering guy, but instead she went "this dude. is gonna be so HILARIOUSLY down bad for the MC. just like. kneeling at his feet, kissing his shoes, crying at handholding levels of down bad. The MC ties his hair around his finger ONCE 800 years ago and he ties THE RED STRING OF FATE in the same place and wears it for centuries. Just.

Like I want yall to understand. It would have made complete sense for him to be this perfect, cool, confident male lead. But instead, MXTX gave us Hua Cheng just being unabashedly down BAD for 8 volumes, and I really respect her for that.
