Serial Killers’ Last Meals
New Zealand-based artist Henry Hargreaves recreated the last meals requested by serial killer inmates before their execution in his series No Seconds. Carefully placed and curated, Hargreaves seamlessly gives life to an extremely dark, uncomfortable and mundane setting, which oddly holds more value than words can express.
Artist Charles Young Builds Paper City One Piece at a Time
A daily job, Edinburgh-based artist Charles Young constructs a paper model projects exploring the basics of architecture design and digital fascination. Every model is planned, designed, cut and assembled by using watercolor paper and PVA glue. To add a whimsical touch, Young animates his creation to give life to his monochromatic pieces. Although the idea seems minimalist, its ingenuity is found in its details. By creating pieces, which could be animated, Young adds a dimension of accessibility. The addition of a slender wooden cinder block also give depth and an earthy quality to the presentation. The animations are hypnotic and also put the viewer in a relaxed state.

Contemporary Sand Castles by Calvin Seibert
Artist Calvin Seibert, also known as Box Builder, constructs architectural sand structures, which are famous for their modern and sleek design. Cubist, mosaic and abstract, Seibert’s pieces are true exploration between nature and artifice. Although the designs are a man-made product, their destiny is determined by nature’s temperament.
True Colors by Aliza Razell
Aliza Razell composes stunning mixed-media photographs, which combine watercolor splashes with self-portraits. By carefully manipulating each image, Razell proves to be a magnificent story-teller, who demonstrates depth and vulnerability. By replacing the the most emotional features on the human body, the eyes and the face, with a range of color, the young artist directly conveys how her subjects are feeling. The juxtaposition between the monochromatic background and rainbow faces create a meaningful scene, which seamlessly blends together.
Force of Nature: Mother Nature Furiously Spins the Earth
Italian sculptor Lorenzo Quinn sculpted his project Force of Nature I and II, after being a witness to the devastating destruction of hurricanes in Thailand and in the Southern United States. Constructed from bronze, stainless steel and aluminum, the work reflects nature’s perceived powerful energy, which is unpredictable, beautiful, yet dangerous. By omitting Mother Nature’s face, Quinn reminds us that there is no sense of security or protection from the Earth itself. We are not in control, sudden destruction awaits at any time.
Hyperrealistic Paintings by Lee Price
Lee Price is an American contemporary figurative realist painter. She focuses on the subject of food with the solitary female figure in private, intimate settings - figures that are always lost in what might appear to be the bliss of consumption in highly unusual environments and portrayed from a unique aerial point of view via.
