    An umbrella was thrusted her way by a man with a black hoodie. He had his own umbrella and his hood obscured his features. “It’s cold. It’s wet. You’re probably freezing. Just take it,” the man spat out, jerking the large umbrella into her. “I had a spare… I always bring a spare in case mine breaks… Just take it…”

    It was extremely rare when Shigaraki showed any nice gestures to anyone. Let alone some hero.  Though did he know she was a hero? Probably not. He didn’t recognize her.

    Regardless, he was in a lonesome mood. Feeling the weight of bitter loneliness in his chest. He wanted to at least have someone to chat to. Even if it’s just a few minutes. Even though the villain had pride on being a loner, every human being at times needed some sort of interaction to function.

          GREAT . she thought, watching as the rain mercilessly pounded on the ground and into the already formed puddles on the pavement. despite being so vulnerable to cold, she hadn’t brought an umbrella or a rain jacket, no, in fact she was dressed in a plain almost soaked hoodie since it had been a day off patrol.

          upon hearing a sudden voice however , she turned towards its source and subtly narrowed her eyes. the man had his face obscured under a black hood ; but that voice, it sounded a little familiar. had she heard it somewhere before? and yet it was almost impossible to tell under the harsh clashing rain. alina eyed the umbrella he was offering her, too tempted to accept, but a part of her was internally frowning at the helpfulness of this stranger.

          “ always bring a spare huh. “ she said lowly ; a little surprised herself by how much her voice shook from the cold. that must’ve been the final straw cause she was reaching forward for the umbrella the next instant, saying, “ thanks, i suppose. “

It had taken a while. Too long. He had forgotten so much. But Aizawa had managed to claw his way out of that place with his name and far too many quirks. He… didn’t quite remember which one was his original one, some days. But he tried his best to hold onto that information.

At that point, though, he was focused on running. Another one of those nomu was right on his heels, so he couldn’t afford to slip up for even a second.

… Which of course was right around the time he skidded around a corner and ran straight into someone.

It had been a long day. By the time she had wrapped up patrolling for the day, the sun had almost set, leaving the tall buildings of her surroundings and the various passing vehicles on the road under clear moonlight. Car keys jingling around her fingers, she was about to unlock her vehicle when she heard distant ruffling somewhere. As if someone was there.

It was an odd occurrence— no one was supposed to be around her office building at this hour and the darkness ahead was blinding. Eyes slightly narrowing, she followed the sound and was just about to turn around a corner when she stopped abruptly, a little shocked to see the known face.

          “ Eraserhead? “ The frown deepened on her face.

While she could obviously recognize him, his appearance differed yet; the medical scars, the obvious signs of neglect. She had heard the news of his disappearance, which made the entire scene all the more confusing to bear witness to.

Isolation was relief, temporary and fleeting, in a world that had devolved into some sort of uncertainty that felt entirely out of his hands. Society needed to change, needed to see that what seemed perfect on the surface was just as ugly, broken, and tarnished as any villain could ever be. Too bad laying himself bare and raw on the world stage didn't make an impact whatsoever; the whole incident was already forgotten by most even if Dabi couldn't let it go. Number One was still Number One as if the news just simply didn't matter.

Color him surprised when the clatter of metal from someone climbing caught his attention, not expecting company let alone for her to show up. Guess stalking off and brooding caught someone's attention after all.

"Five stars out of five, thanks for noticing. What do you want, Alina." Dabi's tone is very deadpanned per his usual, low and exhausted in how his voice rasped out. New burns to his face would be hard to miss from here, a probable source of his annoyance, but at least he used her name and not some quick-dropped insult like usual.

"Unless you're also trying to avoid listening to the bullshit going on back at base, in which case welcome to the asshole tower."

          her steps came to a halt once she had reached the edge of the building, one that displayed a wide view of the city ahead. it seemed faraway at this height, the distant honk of car, the vehicles passing here and there as people went on about their lives. she was mildly surprised when he said her name having gotten used to being called whatever usual insult he’d come up with — perhaps he had expected things to turn out differently after all this. while the fear of being discredited and the chaos it would cause in the world had slowly begun to creep up the world of pros , alina knew for a fact that none of them had been as concerned as some would have expected them to be. not that she cared either way.

          “ you could say that i am. “ she said, lowering herself down on the cold concrete, legs now hanging off the edge of the roof. “ the bullshit going on back at the conference room. “

          it really was the truth. while heroes were gathering to strengthen their defense and come up strategies to manipulate the public back on their side, alina had no desire to participate in it. this was the only place she could think of for disappearing for a while. as the cool breeze slipped past her face, she turned towards him. might as well do something productive while here.
