I tell everyone this and I mean it. Buy a journal. Carry it with you everywhere you go. And I mean everywhere. Write about your favorite moments, your least favorite moments, ideas, grocery lists, people you’ve met, strangers you’ve walked past on the street, favorite quotes, words to remember, what the sky looked like at 7pm, new songs you’ve discovered and what they mean to you, your childhood, places you want to go or places you’ve been, write about your passions, how you feel in this exact moment, draw out the mountains, scribble all over the pages. And when that one gets full, buy a new one. Reread it in 2 years, 20 years, when you need a good laugh, when you’re crying on your bathroom floor, read it to your children. You need to remember these moments in your life. They are so important.

Hi I’m in tears because I just found out that my retired rabbi was a nazi hunter

This is the same man who went to my preschool to make the kids laugh and to tell stories. He lived for it, you could tell. (He was also the resident hospital rabbi when I was born so I’ve literally known him since I first opened my eyes)

Apparently once he disguised himself as an SS officer to expose nazi war criminals and that is some JEWISH. EXCELLENCE. What a guy. I hope history never forgets Paul Silton and everyone who risked their lives to keep minority groups safe and bring nazis to justice.

be sure to understand ur s/o’s way of showing affection and make them aware of yours.. some ppl show affection by buying u things and some ppl will say I love u a million times and some will make u breakfast some will leave u the last ice cream, but it’s really important to know about these things bc u could not notice them and feel unloved while your s/o feels taken for granted and it’s just all a big misunderstanding so please talk about these things

It is amazing that when you put a few people together they can be very intelligent, but when you put 535 people together in Congress they can actually be the dumbest group of people that were ever assembled.
