Sakramentskapelle, Mainzer Dom. Renovated by Glasstudios Derix in Taunusstein. #Mainz #mainzerdom #cathedral #Germany #iphoneography (at Mainz Cathedral)
"Though she continued to shoot some of the same subjects, in some of the same locations, in 1962 Diane decided to change equipment, from a 35mm camera to a 2¼-inch medium-format Rolleiflex... And the camera changed Diane’s relationship with her subject. Rather than lift it to her face and quickly focus, she had to hold the Rollei close to waist level, stare down into a window, and carefully adjust the image from above. She’d then turn back to whoever it was — a flower girl at a wedding in Connecticut, a stripper in her dressing room — with her face unobstructed, each getting a clear view of the other. She’d talk to her directly, coax her gently into place, and look straight into her eyes as she snapped the picture."

I'm looking forward to visiting this exhibition.
Voigtländer Bessa-L sporting the 15mm Heliar and bubble level in the dual hotshoe adapter. The Bessa-R was my first rangefinder back in the day. I picked up this little guy to have a permanent home for my 15mm lens with an external meter. #voigtländer #cameraporn
ADOX Color Implosion
This is a hard film to scan. Lots of adjustment to get the colors close enough to neutral so that it looks reasonable (even when you're going for an effect). I'm not sure I'd want to shoot it again.

Curators wanted
Instagram, Twitter, Facebook-- it's like having access to the world's shoebox of unsorted drugstore prints. There may be gems in there, but I don't have the time or the skill or the taste to find them. What I need more than ever before are editors: people I can trust to tell me, "Look at this photo, look at this photographer, their work is interesting and this is how it fits into art history and I think you will like/learn/be challenged by it." Not likes, or shares, or other crowdsourced voting methodologies. I want Curators.
The essence of Japanese street photography.
Cemetery crosses. #contaxt2 #trix
This LED studio-in-a-box looks like a really useful piece of kit for product photography (selling lenses on eBay, for example).
