Searching the Streets
“Too long, indeed.” He replied, taking his a sip of his drink, keeping his posture straight as he watched her settle in her seat across from him. Beautiful girl with a habit for causing problems. She’d have men chasing after her while she created havoc to everyone who had the poor chance of making eye contact with her. Should be interesting. But then, that was why he had always enjoyed her company: She kept things… lively. No doubt she was already scoping the area for whatever she had in mind. He’d have to remember to tell Persephone to stay out of this corner of the city.
“Were it anyone else, Eris, I would say so. But since it’s you,” He smirked. “I’ve been waiting on Thanatos. We were supposed to have a brief meeting of the most cruel sorts. I figured it would be good for both of us to get away from the usual whines and cries and screams of the Underworld, but the bastard has snubbed my generosity and can’t deign himself to keep schedule with me.”
Raising his eyebrows at her, he set his cup down. “You wouldn’t happen to be planning something, would you, Eris?” He asked her, mock serious as he folded his hands under his chin. “Surely, it can’t be anything that would disrupt the peace of this fine, boring city.”
"What a terrible offense. I would have figured Thanatos to be apt at arriving to such meetings. I'm sure whatever cruel intentions that have yet to be discussed were worth showing up for." Eris feigns a disgusted look, only to be ruined by a tiny giggle. "Of course, I cannot blame him if his absence was based on the location. One would think a city confined with such interesting species would be more entertaining. Such a disappointment."
Eris lets his question settle in her mind before responding. She simply had to do something to cause a stir in the quiet, but tense, city. If she were to allow her mischief making to remain dormant any longer she would be baking with Psyche. A small look of real disgust passes on her features. No, that simply will not do.
Playing along with Hades' mocking, Eris lightly places her left hand on her chest, pretending to be offended. "Why would I be so rude and unnerve the fine establishment that our brethren have created?" She titters, a wide grin on her face as she meets his gaze. Eris had complete faith that he would disclose any information needed to cause panic in the streets of Athens. She just needed to figure out where to start.
Crossing her arms, she watches as a few pedestrians pass by. "You know me so well. I have weak intentions currently, no solid plans. Trust me, you will be the first to know if I have a concrete idea to brighten the lives trapped here." Turning her head back towards him, her eyebrows furrow as she asks, "Unless there are persuadable people that I should know about?"
