Fjord-du-Saguenay: Trout is the Treat in L’Anse-Saint-Jean-Québec

L’Anse Saint-Jean itself is a village, set on the shores of a quiet bay in the Fjord-du-Saguenay. The Fjord, part of the Parc National du Fjord-du-Saguenay plays the role of canvas that is slowly painted with the entire region’s immensely picturesque beauty. A national park of Québec, the Fjord touches on the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Charlevoix, and Côte-Nord tourist regions of the province. The park is situated along the eastern end of the Saguenay River and is approx. 105 kms. long from just east of Chicoutimi where it starts, to the St. Lawrence River where it drains.

Whether you drive, or take the water shuttle service via Croisières du Fjord @fjordcroisiere from Sainte-Rose-du-Nord or La Baie, the trip is well worth the effort for that special smoked trout sandwich that Marina will have waiting for you if you call ahead.
