Animal Farm: 🦊𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓯𝓸𝔁 𝓼𝓲𝓫𝓵𝓲𝓷𝓰𝓼 🦊

“Out in the vast nature of Willingdon, a society of foxes inhabit a part of the woods. Varying of many foxes, six foxes were the most well-known. They consist of brothers and sisters each with a unique trait or skill: one is a dare devil to distant measures in order to get food and the one who learns about different things outside of his comfort zone; one is determined to find the good hearts of humans while another other tries to avoid; another takes care of her looks and fur, the other has incredible speed that she has no time for looks. Little do these foxes know that an irreversible era is coming that could change their lives forever…”

FINALLY, after months of working on them, I have finally finished giving the fox siblings their designs! Their designs are more based on the 1954 version, but I might do more and give them what they’d look like in different adaptations :> (the first one with Foxie was more book canon)

I finally made an Animal Farm OC!

A bit of information about him: his name is Chamomile; he serves as a sort of “doctor figure” on the farm. He’s not that great at it due to a lack of expertise on certain areas {“still learning” to the point he’s halfway a fraud} & is as corrupt as the other pigs, but the reason he gained interest in it was due to finding some of Jones’ books on remedies for animals that he left collecting dust on a shelf. Despite this, he’s not against putting down animals and helped make arrangements to send Boxer to the glue factory

I have no idea what he would represent in the Russian Revolution, but have my concept I wanted to throw at the wall

I’ve heard the new Animal Farm movie is pretty dire but they did make this amazing tie-in website selling “Boxer’s glue.” Comic sans and flashing text urges you to buy Boxer’s glue and not think about the implications. The site feels like a better social commentary than anything in the movie.

I recommend checking out the entire site but I love the section called “the Remorse Portal,” which you can click if you are sorry we sent Boxer to the glue factory. If you click it, you’ll get therapy-speak about how it’s okay to be sad but also you should buy the glue.

The site even directly ties buying the glue to buying a ticket to the movie, as if th two are equivalent— repeatedly insisting that you should just Consume the Products, just buy and consume, and actively refuse to consider the deeper sinister implications of how they were made or why. The film itself, the site implies, is another product just like Boxer’s glue, and your role is to just consume it without thinking too hard. Powerful.
