Some things never end, unfortunately. And then some things do end, and it too is unfortunate. We are often preoccupied with waiting for some things to end, whilst we are often convinced other things will not end. At these times we see very little. It is as if we walk in darkness guided by a dim light that illuminates only that which is a short distance in front of us. We see enough to get by, but we do not understand. It is not until we stop and look back at where we have been, at the trail of light lingering behind us, that we reach an understanding. Sometimes it is a blessing. Sometimes it is a curse. Either way we see the true beauty of the moments that have gone by.

For SHINee Melon's Artist of the Year is not simply another award. It represents every hardship, every struggle, every obstacle that they have overcome in the 2000 days since their début. This truly was the pinnacle of their career thus far. As they cried on stage, they were not alone. Their tears released an emotional torrent that flooded throughout the arena and extended to everyone watching live over the world. In that moment SHINee proved victorious.
