I feel ike teo and Emma in high school would have been THE troublemaker best friends (or couple) because I can kinda see them just being little shits for fun (Theo trying to get his dad's approval, and Emma being a nepo baby with connections) and while Theo gets detention for it, Vox throws money at every problem so that Emma wouldn't have to face consequences. and sometimes, Emma would do the same for Theo if she REALLY needs him to not get in trouble. Bribing and manipulation is kinda her forte

I think one of the things I like about Aponi is how flawed she is. Because I don't think she's a completely good person, but she is morally grey at best. Like I remember that one chain we did about how Aponi would still try to help vox because she thinks everyone deserves to be happy, even someone like him. and it got me thinking about how it would piss the hell out of Mal because she truly does not know which side Aponi is on or why she is even helping him just because he whined about losing everything. Like that one lyric in Cardigan that says "a friend to all is a friend to none'. Because Aponi has spent so many years trying to be perfect and trying to please everyone that even in hell she still wants to please EVERYONE that in some situations she is willing to be neutral and not take sides because she wants to be there to help both. And that shit hurts on Mal's side because she truly feels that even her best friend was not 100% on her side because she would've never done that if Alastor was the one suffering. That she would have stuck to Aponi's side because that's how she is as a friend, but not Lilly. She wants to be everyone's friend. And I feel like that is so realistic for a lot of people pleasers out there and that makes her well written for me :3

Wait I’m interested in this concept of some people being disappointed at Theodore for getting with Emma because of the fact that she’s a robot and that “they’re taking everything away from humans” and them not viewing their relationship as real because “robots can’t feel love” therefore Theo’s just being delusional for believing that Emma loves him, and that Theo doesn’t value “real people who can actually feel emotions”. And that he’s “weird” for having feelings for a machine

God and he tries his best not to let Emma see the comments. But she does. And it fucks her up. It fucks him up. But not in the way where he questions her love or his own.

In the way that yeah. They're in hell. And shitty people say shitty things and he feels powerless to protects Emma from it.

it definitely fucks Emma up, but she still tries to act fine. Because that’s what she’s best at. It worked on Mal, she masked her emotions so she wouldn’t have to worry. But Theo can feel her emotions, everything she feels.. and it makes both of them helpless because she can’t reassure him, and he can’t protect her

One thing about Vox is he definitely spoils Emma a lot— in a way that he’s busy all the time so he doesn’t have the time to be an actual dad and just buys her stuff to “calm her down” when she was a kid. Mal has work with all the sinners and her brothel so she tends to come home very late, which means she isn’t that present in Emma’s childhood (or her life) to be able to raise her the way aponi did with Theo and Ari, so Emma most likely grew up pretty spoiled, used to getting what she wants but she has these lines and boundaries she won’t cross despite being raised the way she was raised. She’s used to getting what she wants, and Vox enables that because he thinks it’s “good parenting” because he “makes her happy.” Emma’s definitely more of a morally grey person than a good one, to be honest. 😭 and she would have been so much worse if it weren’t for Theo and Aponi. (Bc the other two vees, especially velvette, enable her too.)

Theo not wanting to do something in the relationship because he physically can't or he doesnt want to cross his own boundaries, and Emma, thinking he'll just do it because he loves her gets a very rude awakening when it puts their friendship/relationship on the line because she hasn't learned yet that she needs to compromise on some things

I think what’s really cool abt Emma is that she can’t show physical damage but she CAN feel pain. She can’t get a bruise, she’s like a magic tough metal, but she can feel physical pain. Like she dropped an entire vase on her foot and physically, her foot didn’t have any sort of damage. But little did you know it hurt like HELL for her. It broke on her foot given how hard her metallic body was and there was glass everywhere. She didn’t have any physical injuries but she felt that pain for days

I think Emma is the character that interests me the most considering how fun it is to be like “how far can this magic robot go” and kind of mixing emotional humanity with physical machinery/perfection. I’m really looking forward to exploring her body more!

Does her brain work like a clock? Or is it closer to that of a phone.

Does she have photographic memory? Or does she have to update her storage every now and again and delete photos from her files.

When she sleeps does her body make a humming noise like a computer in sleep mode?
