when glimmer is removed from the games she's wasn't dead , not quite. still clinging to some life as the helicopter carried her away. president snow could feel the tensions rising in the districts , even before the games were over , something was stirring the moment a small girl from 12 volunteered for her sister. he knew he had to act fast , even if he was wrong , it was good to be prepared. that's when he decided to let everyone think the tributes were dead and gone , but instead whisk them away before death catches them , the capitol doctors working fast to fix them up. especially the career pack. glimmer was the first to be saved. it took a while but she was patched up nicely , one look at her and you would never know she was moments away from death. her new life was filled with training again , getting stronger , learning to attack and defend herself as well as what they called class which taught her ever day how great the capitol was , how she should be thankful for them saving her life. she soon became devoted to the capitol , promising to do anything president snow asked of her. as the 75th hunger games started , glimmer was rewarded for her loyalty with a show in the capitol , singing and performing for citizens , reminding them of the glitz and glam of being a tribute , forgetting she was suppose to bed dead. they were all just so happy to see something good in such a bad year for the hunger games. once the war began her shows stopped , instead being used for capitol propaganda along with peeta and johanna. though she was always a light , always bubbly , always making people feel happy watching her. showing that if you just listened to president snow , you could be happy just like her. of course no one knew of her brainwashing , or the pills she took every morning to keep her happy. when peeta was rescued glimmer learned why she had been still training as a tribute all these years , she would be a part of a branch of snow's army specially tasked with killing katniss. and she promised to do just that.

glimmer shifts in her sleep , slowing waking up but not to the feeling of her normal comfortable bed. a hand reaches out to rub against what should be a soft silk pillow but instead finds the texture rough and scratchy. brows furrow , still too drowsy to open her eyes instead she takes in her surroundings through sound. things are quiet and instead of the bird calls and soft music that normally wakes her up its a feeling of eerie unknown. finally her heavy eye lids are forced to open and the dark depressing surrounding is taken in. it's enough to cause her to sit up straight in alarm eyes looking for anything to use as a weapon now.
finally she finds cato , heart still pounding and eyes still wide as she looks to him for an explanation. " cato .... " her words are slow and careful as she starts to get to her feet. " where am I ? " she can't help but feel everything she felt in the games come right back to her. a sense of unknowing and distrusting anyone and everything. " why are we here ? "

" cassie is in shock looking at her friend. and it is sad because she looks brainwashed or something. something that cassie knew what it looked like because it happened to her and right now she is in pure shock seeing @districtshine and she swallows hard past the growing lump in her throat. tears threatening to spill
" what happened to you? " hands reach for her former best friends trying to not shake so much but so much could entail in answer to a simple question.
her smile is brightly sent over towards cassie as she holds her arms out to the other. " god , you look like you've seen a ghost. " a small giggle is sent her way as she takes steps towards the other. eyes widen with the question and her smile only grows. " oh , you don't know ? " her hands grab cassie's squeezing them excitedly. " the fixed me , cass ! " her grasp on the other is released and she'll do a small spin for the other. " not even a scar left. " everyone was always so surprised to see her. glimmer could never understand it. of course the capitol fixed her , they were great like that.
