“Can’t say I blame you! Keeping in touch can be a good thing! It helps the older members of society keep with the times, at least!” Sir C had little issue with that, though, considering Pacworld’s hero- Pac -was a teenager himself! Working with Pac and his friends had the added bonus of keeping in-touch. Mostly.

“I think one of the servos in my left arm might be damaged,” he replied, after testing said arm. “Not badly, however. Other than that, I seem to be all right. I wish I could say the same about the ship, but at least it didn’t explode.”

He turned half-lidded optics to the inventor and his friend. “Thank you for the timely assistance. You can call me Lawrence. I’m a butler bot from the Solana Galaxy.”

“Solana Galaxy, eh? Sure sounds interestin’! I’d be glad to help repair you and your ship, if you’d like!” Sir C offered, quickly tacking on one important detail. “-Well, I can help repair everything but likely the engine. Pacworld hasn’t unlocked deep space travel yet, though we do have easily-reusable rockets!”

“In the meanwhile, welcome to Pacworld! Right now, we’re in one of the many Mazes scattered about the planet. A quick trip to my lab should allow me to grab the tools I need to start up repairs!”

“Yep. This could have committed the crimes with ease. I think that this piece of evidence might just make our case in court.”

“By the way, could you tell me exactly what was stolen? I imagine it must have been important if that lab guy wanted it.” It’s been a question that’s been lingering on his mind for a good while. There wasn’t any motive for Pac, from what he could tell, but the item that was stolen could very well be enough to help his claims…

“It was just some seemingly random yet high-value items. Betrayus would likely just want Pac framed enough to land the boy in jail long enough for him to invade.” Sir C explained. As far as a motive? There was none. They could get info from Pac or Spiral on where he was- since they shared a dorm!

“Let’s see… There’s upgrades to the lemon rocket, still got modifying those spooka-bazookas on my to-do list… some upgrades to Grinder’s firmware…” Sir C lists several things off the list of things he has to get done. This goes on for a while. “…but, the short answer would be no.”

It had been a fairly average day for Lawrence, as well. After running a couple of minor errands, he’d gone to check out a world recently brought to his boss’ attention. He wasn’t here to cause any trouble – mostly just to take note of the usual things such as inhabitants, defenses, and useful resources. 

His ship struggling to remain airborne hadn’t been part of the plan. Despite his best efforts, the crash had been inevitable. And now Lawrence had another problem on top of everything else, literally. He was stuck beneath a ship panel that had been knocked loose. Hold on, was that a voice?

“Yes, hello? Is someone there?” the robot called, although he sounded mostly unconcerned about his predicament. He poked an arm out and gave a small wave. “Could you lend a hand? I seem to be in a spot of trouble.”  

“Hang in there!” Sir C called out, hearing the odd voice, and heading over to the fallen panel the arm had poked out of. “Grinder, lend a hand liftin’ this panel, would ya?” With Grinder’s help, the pair manages to push the panel up off of what was revealed to be another robot!

“You alright there?” Sir C asked, offering a hand up. “Any of your systems get damaged in the crash? Aside from your ship, obviously!” A small chuckle. “I’m Sir Cumference- Pacworld’s leading Inventor- and the bucket of bolts beside me is Grinder, my robotic lab assistant and good friend!”

Phoenix hopped back. Oh my god those are REAL GHOSTS- …Wait. They look nothing like the ghosts he’s seen. He shuddered, remembering Hawthorne…

He shook his head, running over. “Great, great! Let me see!” He analyzed the photo, taking in every detail

Sir C handed him the photo. The suit looked to be very modular, as well as pretty convincing! With the right disguise, it could certainly pass as Pac in little to no light!

“If any other Ghosts come chasin’, you just leave them to me!” Sir C chuckles a bit, keeping his PSC ready for any Ghosts that might pop up.

🐾 The fashionable leopard woman was casually listening to a newer, somewhat sad song; in fact one that her son fancied. A bit listless compared to her normal self, at least until she saw a new face.

“…Isn’t society quite romantic?” A friendly face followed by a rather fearsome rumble of a ‘purr’ that most would mistake for a growl.

Sir C, on the other hand, was out on a stroll. Nothing quite beat the sun and fresh air- and everyone who knew him knew he needed more of both! The elder Inventor often found himself cooped up in his lab, working on his latest invention. Which, in all fairness, was always designed to help Pacworld.

“Eh?” Sir C turned to the new voice as he heard it. “Society? Romantic? Heh, can’t say I agree with you! My idea of ‘romantic’ is closer to just the little things- a picnic under the stars, or even just spendin’ time with the one you love!” He gave a smile as his mind drifted to time he spent together with Spheria, Pac’s Aunt.

“A’Course I built Grinder! I built him just like anything else- from an idea! Though, what was different about Grinder is that the only thing I didn’t plan on him was what makes him the bucket of bolts he is today- his personality! I originally built him as a lab assistant, with the capacity to learn. He’s since become not just that, but a good friend as well!”

A fairly average day in Pacworld as Sir C walks about the city with Grinder trailing behind- on some errands to get supplies for the lab. “Let’s see...” Sir C looks off a list. “Last thing we need are those parts for the new Hoverboard upgrades. I know just where to get ‘em, too!” 

As he heads towards his destination, he spots something... Smoke, coming from the Maze! The two detour towards it, making their way to a strange, crashed ship. At least it wasn’t a Pointyhead ship! “Looks like someone crashed here...” Sir C looked around the ship and surrounding area, for any survivors. “Anyone around?”

“Well, I suppose I can’t really stop you from going. Just try and stay safe. I’ll go ahead and investigate the crime scene a bit more and see what information I can find.”

“Good luck in there!”

“I’ll be as safe as I can.” Sir C looked towards Grinder. “Grinder, let’s head to the lab and get the supplies we’ll need! We’ve got a photo to take!” Sir C heads off with a wave, Grinder following behind.

Not too much later, Sir C could be seen returning with Grinder, on some variant of hoverboard, with only a few Ghosts chasing him! Sir C spins to face them, pulling out his PSC and firing at the chasing ghosts- missing a few times, but catches ‘em once he lands and gets his feet on the ground! “Whew! Honestly, I was expecting more to be chasing than there were! Either way, I got the photo!” Sir C shows a simple photo of the suit to Phoenix.
