What was the difference between a hero and a villain? Both individuals likely had power or influence, perhaps a combination of both. Capable of great things, they would both likely be feared as well as adored. Though the heroes often hated admitting it, they too, left bodies and broken homes behind.Â
Sometimes Yonghwa wondered - was it really wrong for people to die? When he handed over his client her bouquet of flowers, tucked the stray strand of silky hair behind her ear and whispered for her to follow her desire to murder, wasnât he just being helpful? See, not everything was so black and white in life.Â
Unfortunately, for his sweet Dohyun, it just might be. His dearest boy was easy to spot, for he had a loud voice and a even noisier power. Yonghwa was delivering around the area and spotted Dohyun in passing. It would be rude to not say hello. He hung up the phone and walked towards the scene of the commotion, a smile tucked at the corner of his lips. âRight here.â He tapped Dohyun on the shoulder, hopefully not startling his kiddo. Yonghwa had a tendency to move quietly these days and had a way of scaring people when he accidentally sneaked up on them.Â
âNo coffee in your hand for once, I am glad. Clearly, you are taking my cut back your caffeine intake advice to heart.â Yonghwa gave a nod of approval. âHave you eaten yet? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day-âÂ
A scream interrupted them before further conversation could take place. Turning around, Yonghwa was greeted by a rather unpleasant scene. A man was running towards them, covered in blood. Actually, perhaps running was too generous a word as he collapsed about two steps in and was crawling the rest of the way. Behind him, a young woman followed, still continuously stabbing the man until the other stopped moving. She looked perfectly calm, eyes curved with something akin to happiness as she leaned down to make sure her target is dead.Â
Oh dear. She sure didnât take long to persuade, eh? It usually took more than a few words to convince someone to give into their dark desires, but Yonghwa supposed this one had suffered enough. Right in front of the police though, there was no way she could get away with it. He did just deliver flowers to her house, but that would do nothing to connect him to this murder. Before leaving, he already made sure she understood that their brief conversation about murder never took place. Still, this meant he had to stay around for questioning. How troublesome.Â
âOh my godâŚâ Yonghwa stepped back from the blood as if spooked by the terrifying scene. In reality, he just didnât want to get blood splashed on his nice shirt.Â
Used to his hyungâs shenanigans, he did not flinch when Yonghwa touched his shoulder, instead, he pocketed his phone and pivoted to meet his Hyung, a soft playful smirk that always appeared whenever Yonghwa was around to baby him, already appearing. He rolled his eyes obnoxiously, and blew a raspberry--clearly showcasing who was the mature one out of the two, âI would have been one venti beverage done if not for having to deal with this trash,â The other police officers had finally remembered their jobs and had dragged the suspect away and into custody before he finished his sentence. Â
Dohyun was about to, once again, remind Yonghwa Hyung that he was an adult perfectly capable of looking after himself when a scream took his attention and he immediately hyper focused his attention onto the scene in front of him, pulling Yonghwa behind him as he drew his gun, eyes widening in horror at the scene in front of him, What the fuck?
âPolice! Drop the weapon, now!â He yelled, rushing over towards the crazy girl, noting suspiciously the lack of anger or homicidal rage, one would suspect a person to feel while committing such a crime. To his surprise, the girl dropped the weapon immediately and turned towards him, a disturbing smile of contentedness radiating over her as Dohyun approached. What on earth....? A sense of unrest filled the pit of his stomach filmed him then.
âYou are under arrest.â He stated firmly, not showcasing his unease with the situation as he put her in handcuffs, patting her down to make sure she had no other weapons on her. Great....more paperwork.
Though.....something about this situation felt...off.
