“don’t worry, we’re gonnna get you out of there”
since I won’t be shooting any portraits anytime soon. I started doing still life. I already had some great ideas. I just have find some more stuff. If it was only for me this lockdown could go on forever. Have a great and exciting weekend-Django
Franck,
Paris 2017
lith print on agfa brovira chrystal
now with everything shutting down and all my jobs gone for the moment. I’ll have a shit load of time to spend in the darkroom. luckily I’ve been hoarding fixer, developer and paper like there’s no tomorrow! See you on the other side - Django

30x40 lith print on Forte Polywarmtone
from a 13x18 copy negative on Orwo FO45 ( exp. 1989)
12 more sheets of the Forte and then, that’s that. Unless I get lucky again.

I’ve scored a couple of boxes of very old and badly stored copy film (for free). Mainly Orwo FO 5. The stuff is super fogged and a bit moldy from sitting in a cold and moist basement for the past 20 years. A couple of drops 1% solution of Benzotriazole handles the fog nicely and leaves you with a printable negative. I dig it!
Freddy
Last week I bought a big crate of old paper for almost next to nothing, which included about 600 sheets of 30x40 (12x16) Ilford MG RC. Great for running test prints before I start lith printing. The stuff isn’t even fogged. Have a lazy or productive week-Django

from a Holga negative
A 100 Ausbau, Berlin-Treptow
Franka Solida III, 120 film, Yellow Filter, Fomapan 200
I’ve started to go out and shoot just for the heck of it again. Carrying the Linhof is always such a terrible hassle, weight wise. So I’ve started to bring either a 6x6 folder or the Holga. It’s super relaxing and fun. Just what I need at the moment! Have a great week-Django

It’s been the damndest year so far, regarding my style of portrait photography. Tetenal has discontinued my favorite developer, Foma my favorite paper and Adox hasn’t produced a single sheet of the best paper for contact printing known to men, as of yet.
But I’ve already found something like a solution for the developer. I’ve been developing my paper negatives in Kodak D-76. Which, by the way, works great!
Have a crazy and productive week - Django
p.s. I’ve actually been toying with the idea of getting into wet plate, just because you are some what unfazed by this discontinuation crap that’s been going on lately.

I actually went and shot a landscape! How crazy is that?
I just found out that Foma is discontinuing my favorite paper for papernegatives! I’m so hung! My portraits are gonna have a complete different look. Is this a good thing or is it bad? Shit....I think the Acid is kicking in! Have a crazy and productive week! Django
The Heat Is On Part 2
Shot, developed and printed in my portable darkroom
somewhere between here and nowhere (Summer 2018)
Back from Off The Radar with a fistfull of portraits. Six days of madness and mayhem. Some idiot yanked at the cable release, while I was working in the darkbox and tore the whole thread out of the shutter of my 210mm Xenar. Had to switch to my 300mm Symmar and now I’m under the impression the portraits look slightly better. Have a crazy week and happy trails-Django
