A new short film, Our Place Together, starring Tony-nominee Rory O’Malley (Book of Mormon; Hamilton) and How To Get Away With Murder’s Elliot Knight, is set for its North American premiere at this year’s online presentation of Outfest Los Angeles LGBTQ Film Fesival on Monday, August 24 as part of the ‘Heart to Break’ shorts program via the Outfest Now platform.

The film tells the story of two young husbands retreat to their favorite camping spot to confront a recent diagnosis and the ramifications it will have on their marriage and their future together.

The film’s writer/director, Clay Marshall Pruitt, grew up in Pagosa Springs, Colorado and graduated from PSHS in 2003. He said about the genesis of the film, “Reflecting on both of my parents’ cancer diagnoses and corresponding struggles, I began to think about my ‘genetic baggage’ and how that would affect any potential desire to have biological children. Our Place Together is an expression of this personal existential journey.”

<베네딕션>은 20세기 실존 인물인 시인 시그프리드 서순의 삶을 그린다. 그러나 영화는 전형적인 전기라기보다 마르셀 프루스트의 내러티브 형식에 더 가깝다. 시인의 기억은 현재에서 과거로, 전쟁의 현장에서 평범한 삶으로 서정적으로 흐른다. 테런스 데이비스는 고전적이고도 정교하게 숙달된 솜씨로 삶의 운명을 바꾸는 인물들을 통해 세계와 역사가 바뀌는 순간들을 보여준다. 이 영화에는 다를 수도 있었던 삶, 이미 과거가 되었지만 사라지길 거부하는 사랑, 세월이 흘러도 여전히 아픈 기억의 이야기가 담겨 있다. [문성경]

                                           나중애라도 영자막으로 보면 아마도 이해 못할 문장들이 한 두군데가 아니며 한글자막으로 봐도 그런 부분들이 있다.아마도 시가 굉장히 많이 인용구로 등장하기 때문에..나오시는 배우분들이 전부 다 한 외모들 하시고 그 영국 특유의 시니컬함과 날씨와 배경에서 오는 우아한듯한 우울함,전쟁속에 사는 사람들의 약간의 허무주의와 방종이 어우러져 인간 그대로의 군상은 솔직히 잘 느껴지지는 않는다.이 사람들이 말하는 대사가 그들의 진정한 마음을..  과연 진실을 말하는건지...비꼬는건지..은유하는건지.슬퍼하는지..그런 부분들이 좀 있다.결국 진실은 비로소 혼자 있을때 나에게서만 드러나지 않는건가 싶다.      웬지  전쟁에 구르지도 않는것들이 남자들이랑 연애하면서 배부르고 몸이 편하니 헛소리들 하고 있는거 같기도 하고 ㅎㅎㅎ 진짜 전쟁에 환멸을 느끼고 시를 쓰면서 고뇌하고 사랑과 관계에 무너지고 결국 그 모든것들은 지나가고  그저 그가 그리워 하는것은 결국 잡지못한 오원과 그 시절의 음악. 젊음이 아닐까 싶기도 하고.. 그의 세상을 엿보기엔 난 너무 세속적이고 섬세하지 못한 인간이 아닐까 싶다.

되게 되게 좋아하는 스타일의 영화.도발적이고 섹시하고 (아해들이 넘 예쁨) 특히 머리긴 애.진짜 이쁘다 ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ 게다가 그 아슬아슬하면서 팽팽한 줄을 서로가 잡아당기고 있는 느낌이 들어서 좋다. 진짜 아이들만이 줄 수 있는 긴장감이고 매력인거 같다.

Best movie of the year I've seen

The film is so beautiful and poetic, and its glare is so deadly.

어느 정도였냐고? 진짜 러닝타임이 줄어드는게 아까울 정도 였다.한시도 눈을 뗄수 없는 그야말로 모든 장면이 마치 화보같고 패션필름에 뒤지질 않을정도로 ..캐나다의 놀라운 자연과 눈부시도록 아름답게 어울리는 그들을 보는 시간이 줄어드는게 슬펐을 정도다,

감히 말하건데 이 감독의 머릿속의 모든 생각을 사랑한다.이 감독의 전작인 단편 와일드파이어를 보고 나면 이 영화를 받아들이고 감독의 의도를 조금 더 자연스럽게 이해할수 있을거 같다.(물론 그 단편영화도 드럽게 사랑한다.ㅎㅎ)

이 영화는 몇년간 지속된 아버지의 학대에 질릴대로 질려버린 링크와 그의 배다른 어린 형제 트레비스의 이야기다.아버지는 수년을 그의 어머니가 죽었다는 거짓말을 하고 결코 그녀의 편지도 소식도 전해주지 않는다.결국 아버지의 학대를 견디지 못한 링크와 동생은 그의 트럭에 불을 지르고 집을 나와 링크의 친어머니를 찾아 헤맨다.그러다 들린 작은 마켓에서 인디언의 피가 흐르는 유목민   Pasmay를 만난다. 그렇게 그들은 링크의 엄마를 찾는 여행을 시작한다.

그리고 링크에게도 인디언의 피가 흐르고 있었다.그들은 그래서 서로에게 그렇게 끌렸는지도 모르겠다.동생이 알정도로 “ he likes you” 

지루하단 평들도 보이기는 하는데 난 절대 동의하지 못하겠다.진짜 1초도 지루하지 않았다.그냥 마냥 이 아이들이 너무 슬프고 안쓰러웠다.링크가 엄마를 그리워하는 그 마음이 너무 절절하게 닿와았고 동생을 챙기는 모습들...그리고  Pasmay에 대한 마음들...어느 하나 진지하지 않은것이 없었고 쉬운것이 없었다.

그러나 그들은 서로를 만났다.그리고 그의 엄마도...늘 뿌옇게만 보이던...그토록 그리워하던 엄마를..그리고 그의 옆에는 그 험한 길을 따라와준 그의 어린 동생과 그를 사랑하는 그가 있었다.

But they met each other. And his mother ... who always looked hazy ... She missed her mother so much .. And next to him was his little brother who followed the rough road and he who loved him.

이 영화를 정말 사랑하게 될거 같다,

While Link's coming-of-age story is universal, the LGBTQ+ and Indigenous lenses through which Wildhood is told adds extra layers. Hannam — a non-binary, two-spirit Mi'kmaw born and raised in Nova Scotia — is able to tell Link and Pasmay's stories with a sense of authenticity Hollywood studios often attempt to imitate. Wildhood is a great example of why, if a studio wishes to make films under the guise of representation and diversity, it's not enough to simply hire a few non-white actors of varying genders and call it a day. If you want Indigenous stories, give the opportunity to Indigenous filmmakers to tell them. (Mongrel Media

god is love

     "God is Love" is a video art focused on the theme of spirituality in the                   perspective of the relationship between freedom and religion. ( Italia )

The video shows the meeting of two young guys in front of St. Peter's Basilica. The intertwining of their gazes, their hands and the sense of intimacy and sensuality that emerges from their kisses are not in contrast with the imposing basilica that stands out between their faces.

In this context, St. Peter's Basilica takes on a double value: from being a symbol of Catholicism that represses freedom and sexuality, it becomes an expression of Christianity as the embodiment of spirituality and love.

At the same time, the young couple represents not only the LGBTQI+ community, but all people who live a condition of marginalization in society. A condition that Christianity itself, in its original principles, aims to overcome.

A strong inspiration in terms of aesthetics was the memorial dedicated to homosexuals persecuted during the Nazi regime in Berlin, the uninterrupted projection of a video, simple but powerful, in which we see two men kissing in a park.

I had long planned to make this video. When on October 27, 2021 the Zan bill (which sets out measures to prevent and combat discrimination and violence based on sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and disability in Italy) was not approved by the Senate, I knew it was the right time to make it, to give strength to a message of love that I believe still needs to be heard.
