Session 3 Recap

- The Fort -

The party departs from their first voyage and lands at Fort Destin to recuperate from the journey. Nicolas and Jenna take the time to speak with the guardcaptain. Aldren successfully pilfers an expensive-looking shield from the barracks. Max finds the food distasteful. Brilliana charms her way into the armory and makes off with a few pieces of equipment. A strange girl named Sen, who is later revealed to be the guardcaptain's daughter, makes an impression on Anna. Later in the night, a colony of giant crabs attacks the fort and the party successfully, if not embarassingly, fends them off with Sen.

Session 2 Recap

-- Bon Voyage! --

The Lidell party arrives in Caspia without any trouble. Lucas and Maria's party also make it there without much opposition. The party meets. Jenna presents the party with a large sum of gold, with which supplies are bought. Brilliana and Max meet Djarkeeln in the windmill, where they acquire a new spellcasting tome for Hayden. Lucas is gifted with a sword from his mother, of unknown origin. The party boards the boat on their way to Acionne. Brilliana makes some furry friends.

Session 1 Recap

- The Pilot Episode -

Lucas and Maria spend time with Kieth in the forest. Their village is burned to the ground and they escape with their families. Lucas's mother and grandfather are more than they seem. The capital city is attacked and the king is killed. Brilliana and Hayden escape the castle with Nicolas. The party is saved when Aldren swoops in and gallantly defends Brilliana. Anna and Max come to the rescue of those in the capital, and they promptly head in the direction of the port town where they will flee to Acionne.

-- Maria, Link to the Heavens --

Maria grew up living with her mother, who owned an herb shop, and her younger brother Samuel. She and Lucas met when they were 5 years old, and became fast friends. Maria learned more about herbalism from her mother and discovered she was a good shot with a bow as she grew up. Although she liked the village, Maria felt a yearning to explore a little bit more. Unfortunately for her, the opportunity came when their village was attacked. Maria and Lucas fled in the confusion. Maria is kindhearted, and somewhat shy, but extremely knowledgeable about all things plants. She is a useful and valuable friend to have.

-- Max, Wrath of the Goddess --

Born and raised upon a small mountain range by their infamous dark-magic family, Max is a gender-fluid healer who seemingly got a blessing from the goddess, which led to their immense light-magic prowess. Even with the unwavering support of their family, who stated that Max had no need to, Max still chose to pursue the dark arts, ultimately leading in the demise of many of their family due to a spell gone wrong. Muteness another side effect, Max chose to travel across the lands, gaining fame for their talents in the healing arts.

-- Lady Anna, Opulent Princess --

Living the most lavish and expensive life anyone in Laeran could ever ask for, Princess Anna of Acionne is no stranger to the allure of cold hard cash (and gold and jewels and caviar and spas and masquerade balls, etc etc). Despite a distant relationship with her father, the king, and her occasionally supportive mother, the queen, she remains vigilant on her path to becoming the next great leader of Acionne. After years of failing to make friends and keep personal servants for longer than a few weeks due to her inherent greediness and her lack of care for most others, she seeks to finally change herself and prove to Acionne what a queen she really can be. Dead set on improving her people skills, her empathy, and of course her business strategies, this time- she is ready.

-- Aldren, Royal Shadow --

Born to traveling merchants, Aldren was a precocious child until he lost his parents in front of his eyes at a young age. After this, he traveled to the capitol of Lidell and, upon receiving no help, met with a band of thieves whose leader was quick to take him in. In his teenage years, he was betrayed by a trusted friend and his mentor disappeared, leaving Aldren to lead the band. These events changed him in a way he couldn't recover from, making him slow to trust and reluctant to get close to people. He hides his insecurities behind a cocky exterior and faux self-assurance; and very few have seen him be serious, though rumors have it that behind his emotional wall hides a golden heart. Upon the fall of the capitol of Lidell, he is separated from his band of thieves, and instead happens upon the princess and her adopted brother. After jumping into a fight to save the princess, he is offered a handsome reward if he accompanies them.

-- Princess Brilliana, Light of the Sky --

A small princess with large emotions, Brilliana rules as the princess of Lidell. Having lived a fairly peaceful life, suddenly having that peace destroyed brought out the worst in her. She witnessed her own father's death, and is now on the run from the assailants, though revenge lies deep within her heart. With the help of others, Brilliana will not stop until she has reclaimed her rightful throne, and brings peace back to the country of Lidell.

-- Lucas, Laeran’s Shield --

Lucas was raised by his mother and grandfather in a small town in the country of Lidell. When he was only 5 years old, he befriended a girl from the town named Maria. They were nearly inseparable as they grew up. Throughout his childhood, Lucas learned the art of the sword from his grandfather and survival skills from his mother. He and Maria were spending time with another friend of theirs when suddenly, their village was attacked, forcing Lucas and Maria to flee. Lucas is kindhearted but independent, with a determination to protect those he cares about. He is unlikely to rush into battle as he’s quite levelheaded, but get him on your side and he is a faithful and powerful ally.

-- Sir Hayden, Master of Flame --

A talented mage with an affinity for all things fiery, Hayden was born to Lidellian nobles and lived a privileged life until the age of 9, when his parents died in a fire spell gone wrong. Orphaned and broken, he was alone until the king took him in due to his magical prowess and noble lineage. He bonded with his adoptive sister Brilliana and his new father, and things went well until the day the king died. Having left him vulnerable with a misaimed fire spell, he blames himself for his adoptive father's death, and refuses to get close to anyone else for fear of being responsible for their death. If you do manage to get past his emotional shell, he is undyingly loyal and always ready with a fire spell for whatever you need it for.
