You skipped over all of the pregnancy in your PHM fic :(

and i can go back and add it later if i rlly wanted to! but honestly, the parts ive wanted most are the parts im including - the discovery, the discussion, the end, what it means. a full term pregnancy is 9 months, it’s fairly nebulous, and if you’ve ever gleaned something from my art it might be that i don’t have the attention span for the “whole thing” to go step by step in every instance

also, thank you for complaining about something an artist is proving you for free! making the artist feel bad for not doing a good enough job yet is a really great way to ensure creative projects you like get finished

The last word is one I don't instinctively recognize, but a realization the size of a freight train flattens me like Wile E. Coyote on the proverbial animated highway. It's a word Rocky looks a little awkward trying to sound out, and there's a reason for that; considering their species is hermaphroditic, and reproduces primarily externally (yes, the egg cannibalism thing is still fresh in my mind), he would have no exact translation for something I only really mentioned in passing. What would I have even said to him that day, those weeks ago, when he got the best "Sparknotes birds and bees" I could give? Gestation. But that's not the way his grammar works, and the way he's fronting my name at the beginning of the sentence means the word proceeding is an adjective. Gestating.
