[and now that you're asleep, you find yourself... in a strange place, the area in front of you looks exactly like the room you were in before falling asleep... but everything behind you is a black void... and the floor is built in a checkered pattern of black and white squares.
You can feel something in the dark.]

[At first, the Doctor thinks that he simply woke up from a very quick dozing-off, but the strange nature of the area he's in makes it apparent to him. He's dreaming, lucidly too.]
