âI am Siluria, one of the chosen ones to lead the Crucible knights...                     do not underestimate me.â

smouldringâ:
Her eyes widened in surprise, and color rose to her cheeks. Had anyone ever bowed to her before? No, they usually just tried to impale her. It was⊠nice. No wonder, then, that Godrick had been so obsessed with it. Ah, but she had to be sure to bow back. Hers was not nearly as neat, but the intention was there; she bounced her knees before she bent at the waist. There, now sheâd paid it back.
âOh, you didnât scare me!â It came out quite insistent. Evidently, it was a point of pride for her. So the ants and the rot and the milk-water were all terribly off-putting, but that didnât mean that she was scared. ( Or, at least, nobody had to know that. ) âI justâ havenât heard anyone else talking down here, thatâs all.â Smiling, she immediately grasped the offered hand, delighted. What a wonderful woman! Bowing and shaking handsâ and Merri hadnât had to talk her into it or make the first move! âYouâre so nice,â she said without thinking, voice colored with admiration. âLead the way.â
Siluria pretends to not notice the rosy cheeks of the woman before her-- itâs all too common to see a lady flustered around a Knight, after all. She smiles under her helmet and takes the otherâs hand in her own, before releasing it and motioning for her to follow as she begins to walk to her makeshift home.Â
âIâm glad to hear that, Iâd have hated to have scared you,â Itâs her job to protect, after all. âI am Crucible Knight Siluria, I was stationed here many moons ago, and it is pleasant to have company,â she introduces. âI donât suppose you were lost?â
There is no shame in the question, itâs innocent enough.Â
smouldringâ:
Merri had decided that the Depths were not for her mere moments after sheâd set foot in them. From the swollen ants larger than a bear to the milky whiteness of the water, everything down here was wrong. It reeked of pungent decay, dead things carried down all the way to this hole below the earth to decompose. Over the course of her journey she had smelled ashen death ( death by burning ) and old death ( bones left unburied ), but this was the first time the smell of the deep wood and the smell of lifelessness mingled in such a way, and she found herself compelled to tie a cloth about her mouth and nose, to keep it out.
There were soldiers here that sheâd been careful to avoid, but this didnât look like a soldier â and they were speaking. Merri eased Torrent to a trot, then dismounted, tucking his ring back into her pack. âHello?â she tried, a fair warning from a fair distance.
Her eyes flick to the side at the sound of the voice, her weapon immediately at the ready, her stance changing to the offensive at-- ah, a person. Her form relaxes, and she offers an apologetic bow to the woman.Â
âHello, apologies for the small scare I may have given you,â Her tone is formal for the moment, though her weapon doesnât move too far away from her side. There are creatures down here that may attack them at any moment, and sheâd like to be prepared for them. Her hand extends towards the woman, offering for her to take it.
âThis is no place to speak, let us retreat somewhere safer.âÂ
Siluria paces her grounds, her mind wandering elsewhere for a moment. She is concerned for her troopâs safety, and though she has confidence they can hold their own in combat and steer from the troubles of this new world, without seeing it she cannot confirm it. Her grip on her weapon tightens for but a moment, and she sighs.
âIf only I could confirm with mine own eyes...â mayhaps sheâd be less worried for them. For now, she can only believe.
umbrclflameâ:
âAbsolutely.â It seems surreal at times just how well Darian could match his movements in combat, following up or jumping in at the exact time that was needed. No words were needed to be exchanged, merely a single glance and it already spoke volumes; the swings of their blades two parts of a single song, deadly yet elegant:Â âIâve went with him several times to cleanse the filth of those Who Live in Death in the depths of the catacombs, Iâve not had a partner that knew me as well as he without even the need for words.â
And oh he knew, Ordovis knew all too well what she was thinking. His fellow knight wished for an audience with the man himself, an inspection of sorts that almost made a chuckle spill from his mouth. âHeâs already informed me that he would be off in one of the nearby catacombs investigating some of the more recent occurrences, so you will get to see him soon.â Â
A dance of blades of which words nor prior stratagem were needed? Now that was something that Siluria simply had to witness for herself. Partners like that were such a rare sort nowadays, she fondly remembers how some of her men would practice until the daylight had faded and long into the moonâs presence.Â
âIf he truly is as skilled as you have spoken, then I have little doubt that he will arrive unto us unharmed,â Perhaps itâs a small challenge that sheâs dished out, but surely anybody who had raptured her fellow knight would be of high caliber. Oh, but while this mystery person isnât present... Siluria doesnât seem it fit to be so formal. âIâm excited to meet him, is that bad?âÂ
âIt is hardly befitting of me to fawn over you, as my equal, and yet I cannot help it, my heart desires to see you at your most content,â and donât think she hasnât spotted that little smile upturning on Ordovisâ lips.
"Did you also get an invitation to Redmane Castle? For a WEDDING no less?" - Ordovis because everyone's enabling me to do this.
"A... wedding?" Siluria replies in absolute disbelief. A wedding, of all things, with the world in such a state? Well, she supposes there are worse things that could happen.
A shooting star could fall down and unearth a long-lost nigh-forgotten city. Ha, wouldn't that be a sight?
"I don't recall receiving an invitation, but if I'm allowed to attend I would certainly love to." She nods. "A... bit of normalcy would do everyone a bit of good."
old man gets pranked
umbrclflameâ:
His heart does - he was certain of it - a flip in his chest. Ordovis hisses out a breath between his teeth, something between a nervous laughter and embarrassment. Oh by the gods, he was really acting like a young boy who just found out that the one he so favored liked him back! Blessed be the fact that there is nobody else around to witness this, particularly not Severus, the man would never allow him to live it down.Â
The other Crucible Knight folds his hands in his lap: âWell⊠how do I begin? It was all a coincidence really. I figured Iâd investigate some of the more recent disturbances down in one of the catacombs, as Iâve heard that there are strange going - ons down there.âÂ
Now his heart is really beating fast against his chest. By the Lords, if it went any faster, it might as well burst out of him -Â
âI ran into a knight, clad in strange armor of gold and silver, with a golden mask to hide his visage. Turns out that he was a Knight of the Golden Order, men who came after us and modeled their worship of the tree upon our Primordial Crucible, so in a sense, we shared certain objectives⊠both being paladins who sought to correct the wrongs done to this land and weed out the dark magic that stemmed from the death of beloved Godwyn the Golden.âÂ
And the rest would be history.Â
âI couldnât help it⊠it felt like we were meant to be the two halves of a whole.â
From the first breath he took to describe how he met his other half, Siluria simply knew that Ordovis had simply gone head over heels for the person. She listens to his tale intently, absorbing all the information she possibly could from every word he was conveying to her about this mystery person--
âI see...â Sheâs thoughtful for a moment, a knight clad in gold and silvers, a person of the Golden Order- a noble cause indeed. She may feel inclined to spar with him should the occasion call for it, after all, she must ensure that her fellow knight was protected and safe in the hands of those he would entrust his heart to. She sits up a little straighter and looks to him with the motherly gaze he is no doubt familiar with.
âI would love to meet this person who has enraptured you,â Siluriaâs golden eyes glimmer once more with opportunities. âYou are sure of his battle prowess too, yes?â In order for love to be thought of in this world, they must be capable of having each others backs even in the darkest of moments.Â
âShould one of you stray, the other must be there to pull the other back to the path, âlest you both be lost.â
After today, Siluria never wants to see another Basilisk or Ant ever again. She thought perhaps sheâd have a nice stroll to take in the trees and water features of her newfound home and--
Yeah, donât get her started.
FromSoftware I will never forgive you.
I love big hat sorcerer boy.
This is how they met. This is also why Rogier calls him scary.

Thatâs the woman he knew from so long ago, stern but also welcoming to everyone within their small order of merely sixteen. Ordovis allows a smile, his shoulders relaxing as he sits down before her; reaching up and removing his signature helm, shaking out his hair and pushing a few stray strands out of his face.Â
âMany many things has happened since I managed to get out of the crypts for a breath of fresh air.â He hums, resting his elbow on his knee and his chin atop his fist:Â âMet some new friends, found some of our old ones scattered around the world. Septimus is still hanging around Redmane Castle, heard he and a few others actually managed to get the Scarlet Rot under control.â It sounded impossible and honestly it should have been impossible, yet somehow the knight had pulled it off with some help.Â
Then there was uh⊠another issue, though. One that Ordovis suddenly hoped that his face would not betray it. Surely it wasnât heat that he was feeling in his face. âI also met someone elseâŠâ
Relief fills her chest-- though she wouldnât admit it directly to him-- as she hears that he has been good and well. Since they had been scattered it had shattered her heart to not know where her men had been posted, and all she could do was believe in the training she had given to them to help them survive in these dark times.Â
Septimus is a name she hadnât heard in quite some time. âAh, the blade of Miquella did almost lay waste to Caelid,â she nods. âTo tame the scarlet rot is an impressive feat, had I a reward for Septimus I would gladly give it.â Siluria laughs softly, a polite hand resting over her mouth as she does so. âThough I imagine the feat was reward enough for him.â
A glimmer appears in her eyes, of intrigue, of curiosity-- a person? Ordovisâs cheeks had practically bloomed, as though his heart had slapped him across the face. She sits a little straighter, her head inclining to the side. âO~h?â She leans a little more forward, prying into his thoughts. âDo tell me of the lucky person you found in this wasteland of a kingdom.â
Somebody who is brave and strong enough to woo even Ordovis has her full attention.
