We had a refreshing day away from the Vegas heat at Cottonwood Cove along Lake Mojave! What a great night at the Desert Breeze Dog park! There are three gated sections, but it seemed that only two were in use this evening. There is one for larger dogs (35 lb and up) and another for smaller dogs (35 lb and below). Each has plenty of dog bags and receptacles, sitting areas for humans and pups, water taps and, most importantly, lots of grass for playing! The park is also well-lot, so you can play until 11pm. The dog park is located on the south side of the park on the park road, accessible from S Durango or Spring Mountain. #dogfriendlyvegas #desertbreeze 🐶🐾 (at Desert Breeze Park)

Nevada Trails Park, located on Mardon Ave (closest major cross streets are S Rainbow and Warm Springs) has nice walking trails and a big grass area for dogs! You'll often find a fun doggy playgroup around 4pm or 5pm during the week. A delicious doggy lunch at @lazydogrestaurants in @downtownsummerlin! Russell had two bowls of ground hamburger patties off of the doggy menu! You may also order grilled chicken and brown rice for your pooch. The covered patio stays nice and cool with its fans and vaulted ceilings, and they will be installing misters and an additional canopy very soon to shield guests from the Vegas heat! The 18-acre Mountain's Edge Regional Park has a 1.5 mile trail with amazing views of Red Rock. There is also a large turf field, perfect for a game of fetch, and smaller sporting areas to play baseball and soccer with the family.
