Hi, I’m Dante, I’ve been hanging around the fandom for a little bit of time and I’ve decided to make a side blog to share my thoughts and occasional art pieces of cod characters and perhaps my own characters occasionally

Some things about me

-I’m an aspiring helicopter pilot, always up to talking about aviation. If not a pilot, then a technician

-I’m from the UK, specifically the Norfolk-Cambridgeshire region in the more southern-eastern area

-I love writing and drawing. I also adore airsoft and aim to have my own gear and weapons.

-as a young teen I was in the ACF (Army cadet force) and while I left because of bullying amongst cadets, I passed my first aid, drills and firearm handling and recon.

I’m not the most certain about what I’m comfortable with and what I’m not comfortable with yet, but that will certainly come with due time.

COD Characters as Different Military Aircrafts

Soap -> A-10 Thunderbolt: Known for its loud and heavy gatling gun, outstanding close air support and its durability against damage. Its fierce and accurate air defense marks it as one of the best support aircrafts to exist.

Ghost -> B-2 Spirit: Advanced stealth tactics and its ability to easily evade enemy detection to reign down its deadly force makes this bomber, a ghost in the sky.

Roach -> F-14 Tomcat: Despite its air superiority and esteemed long range capabilities, the uncommon design of its “variable-sweep wings” marks it as the most distinctive and intriguing aspect of the aircraft.

Gaz -> AH-64 Apache: Designed for high survivability and equipped with advanced technological targeting components makes it one of the best air support aircrafts in active service.

Price -> P-51 Mustang: An oldie but a goodie; was the star of the show in its prime with its outstanding range of speed, maneuverability, durability, and it’s skill to adapt quickly to different conditions.

Laswell -> E-3 Sentry: Designated for surveillance, communications, and command; it’s your eyes in the sky.

Rudy -> KC-135 Stratotanker: You can always count on this aerial refueling tanker. When in need of support when you’re down, it’s got your back, always loyal to its allies.

Alejandro -> F-15 Eagle: Was built for extreme power, resilience, agility, and to display its aggressive dog-fighting capabilities proving it better than the feared oppositions. Never lost a fight protecting what it stood for.

Valeria -> F-22 Raptor: This jet’s extreme capability to fly nearly completely invisible through radars makes it dangerous in its attacks. The state of the art technological advances allows it to fool anyone who comes across, creating a perfect chance to strike and claim victory.

Graves -> V-22 Osprey: Although its dodgy components can wear the reliability of this aircraft thin, it’s service is still exceptional.

I heavily support and agree with this, although I personally think Price would be a De Havilland Mosquito; classic, it’s dangerous, the Germans hated this plane in ww2 because it could do recon, act as a fighter, a bomber, it was almost invisible to radar, it’s fast too. Plus, it’s British.

A general (I think) was even noted as saying something along the lines of “the bad thing about the Mosquito was there wasn’t enough”… 4x 20mm guns on the front, 2 powerful engines, light body aircraft. The only thing that’d reflect on radar was metal components. Need it for recon? Put extra fuel, bombings? Bombs, might not have been strong, it’s literally made of wood, but it’s a very good aircraft of its time (consider it was designed to be a bomber)

Also there are stories of mosquito pilots flying so low they came back with foliage on their underside, and it was basically only the good pilots allowed to fly it because it (if I remember correctly) was difficult to fly

are you kidding me, his ass could do it with his eyes closed. baby boy here used to be a butcher’s apprentice, I know his ass could butterfly a chicken. it’s muscle memory, he’s very precise about it. if you want, he’ll explain what he’s doing while taking the backbone out

in other news, I also think Price, Graves, and Nikto could do it. Price just gives me the vibe that he knows how to take out the backbone. maybe his mother taught him? like, he’d hover in the kitchen to talk to her while she cooked and he picked it up from her. Graves? Graves definitely grew up on a farm, he probably took out a handful of chickens in his life, butterflying one is nothing. he’d smugly show you how to do it, “Hey, hey, easy honey, not like that—“. Nikto just does. I can’t explain it, but if you asked him to take the backbone out he’d get it done right. has he ever done it before? I’m going to say no, he’s just randomly good at it

other food for thought, Kyle would accidentally mutilate it, so would Krueger. they’d try their best, but that’s all they can offer. Kyle would at least look up a YouTube video, tries to follow it but butchers the thing (pun intended). unlike Nikto, Krueger thinks he can do it without a problem first try, no need to look it up. he is very wrong. the chicken is not butterflied, it looks like it’s been ran over. he probably got pissed and punched it like Gordon Ramsey

I’m rifle trained (not sniper, regular ACF rifles) and I do this for friends, stalls love the money. So many shots… my rifle ran out of air pressure

It’s a guarantee if he does that more than twice, the stall/ range owners will remember him as the “guy with rifle training”

I’m preparing things for flight school and it is NOT easy, shits nerve racking but this is what I want to do (all my friends are uni students and 😔 their tuition is more expensive, would not want that £30,000 tuition.)

Who’s got any ideas for a callsign for y/n that isn’t just outright cringe ? Like I love the fic babe but I ain’t no Athena…we need something a lil more creative !

From my experience, call signs and military nicknames are basically about embarrassing things that happened to that person, or just straight up insults

Real life example, my brother gets called “General” because he looks old, there was also someone who got called Rat because they were “short and ugly”

Air Force callsigns are a good example, like Bambi, the guy who accidentally hit a deer while taking off. Axis, the half German, half Japanese pilot. Smoat, or ‘shit myself over Afghanistan twice’. Drone, aka a female pilot who’s aircraft is unmanned. BOB, baby on board for the short guy. I think someone got the callsign Missile for flying like an absolute maniac. (These are actual callsigns, go on Reddit and YouTube for more examples)

Another thing to note is if someone says they hate their callsign, or say “I want this callsign! Call me this!” They often get a much worse one than originally planned

The ones that don’t stand out often just get left with none

Yeah just make up an embarrassing story or just make up something insulting and create a callsign from that, some can get rejected if they’re particularly bad, but often others will find a way to give them a funny nickname

An example is my character, Flick, aka “Fucked Landing In Class Kid” after he broke the wheels off a trainer because he sneezed while landing. Often light hearted banter about looks, attitude, fighting tactics or accidents either on base or off of base (someone piss themselves off of base with some buddies? Hello, firehose!)

What do I believe captain Price would be like as a leader?

I’ve done this before for König, I’m just struggling with a few things and sorting out flight school stuff and work, if there’s anyone else you all want to know about, ask!

-price is a man of planning, before missions he plans everything out to the smallest details. That’s not a thing unique to him, that’s an SAS thing (if you have not seen SAS preparing an assault on a building, look it up.). He likes to run through missions and positions with his soldiers, they should know the plan off by heart once it gets to the real thing

-he likes to see his trainees succeed, he’s a caring man. While training he is harsh and tough, but he does have the best intentions. SpecOps is difficult, and he likes to see people actually improve. Sure, he’d be tough in sparring, but best believe that man would give you a canteen and ask “y’good?”

- going on the last point, he’s an approachable man. Doesn’t matter what he’s doing, if one of the recruits is struggling, or one of the enlisted soldiers or an officer wants to ask him something, he’ll gladly assist. Ask him for help while learning something? “Sure, kiddo, what d’ya need help with?”

-but when someone’s fucked up, god it’s known. The way he spoke to shepherd? He’s got a quiet anger. It’s scary.

-he’s also fatherly to some of the soldiers, considering how he spoke to Soap, especially in the original game, and Gaz in the reboot? It’s not intentional (at least I believe) but he does turn into a father figure. He’s no softie, but he does genuinely care for the soldiers below him (not sure for the ones above him, minus MacMillan… he did threaten a general and a colonel.)

-onto how he talks to his soldiers, he likes to joke around and do banter, the all ghillied up mission in the reboot just shows that, he was bantering with Gaz (as a brit I love good ol’ British banter)

-price does genuinely look after his soldiers, his tactics and battle plans aim to minimise casualties. Another SAS thing, compare the peterhead prison riot to the Iranian embassy siege, in Peterhead they used different things (trainers over boots, batons) than the embassy (full black kit). If Price believes one thing would be better to have than another, he’d have his soldiers use that

In conclusion

Price is a man who cares deeply for his soldiers below him, he wants them to stay safe in battle and in the base, and is always willing to help someone improve their own skills, he really is a true leader
