a while ago i posted about how there seems to be too much existing in this almost five year old blog. and that still remains the case. writing here feels too much like putting on jeans that don’t fit anymore. i really love the pants but they’re just... too short or too tight or too loose. it doesn’t feel right. but i really love the pants. i really do. so i’ve started a new blog and i will post the new url. but for now i think it’s time to just fold up these jeans and put them in the back of my closet to occasionally look over fondly and remember how nice they made my butt look once.

It was confirmed that I'm graduating today ......... I'm actually graduating 100% it's confirmed its registered I've paid for my gown and my First Nations sash I'm graduating after 4 very long years I have two degrees and I have a really great job and I am really happy and proud of myself

i have the best coworkers in the world and i have the best boss in the world and i feel like im just surrounded by so much love and have such a supportive environment to learn and to grow and it's really really rough work and it can really take a huge emotional and mental toll so I'm glad I have such supportive coworkers . they're great . It's like being surrounded by fun mums all the time they're so loving and caring and funny I love them

i just dont think non-Aboriginal ppl understand how absolutely revolutionary Cleverman is – or, at least, they don’t know in the same way. 

i am 22 years old. this is the first time in my life i have seen myself, my people, our stories, reflected on television – but not only that. this show is the first sci-fi show that i, a science fiction writer, and Indigenous person, have ever felt apart of. it’s the first time i havent felt deliberately alienated and pushed out. it’s the first time i’ve seen black creativity, black thoughts, black names and black stories in sci-fi.

and i hope it proves that this is what viewers want. i hope because of the show’s success, producers realise what we have to offer. i hope in the future, other black sci-fi and fantasy shows will be possible.

hey in the last 4 or 5 months that i wasnt blogging i somehow got obsessed w/ Vikings . I went to the library and got out every book and now i know loads and loads about Vikings and i keep getting more and more books I love Vikings so much
