Even if I had no interest in the FMA fandom, I would have gotten sucked into this author — silentwalrus's — writing, because it's so dynamic on all fronts: characterization, devil-detailing, world-building, plotting, thought-provoking ruminations. Reading it makes me want to jump out of my seat and run around my house like a neurotic shih tzu because I can't contain myself, it's too good. I'm trying to channel the Jitters into art instead. So: here, I hope you enjoy!!!

(A note on bottom right: Ed scales No. 12 Grimmauld Place. Last time I was in London, my AirBnB turned out to be smack in the middle of the hellhole known as Woolwich, and I was thinking of Woolwich when I drew Grimmauld Place, which might not be geographically or architecturally accurate, but I don't care!! It's all about vibes!!)

gideon - fighter, chain brawler

Wears a parka because, despite being a fire genasi, still gets cold !!!! (its the half-human coming in)

That being said, he will still give Kremy his coat if asked for it.

Has a small tail that will spark when he gets spooked or angry

Wears his hair in a ponytail so its out of the way

It actually takes more energy to use his fire genasi powers because of the relentless winter and bitter cold. the snow and storms make it especially difficult to harness the flame

kremy - warlock, undead patron (death loa)

regrets everything about this trip

He is bundled up because of his cold-bloodedness. His top hat was shoved into Frost's pack (much to his dismay) and he was forced to wear his hood

He had his cape custom made before the trip

Wears lots of pelts to combat the cold

Needs his cane because he has a bad hip

He and Gideon have the same eye color. Not because they are soulmates or because of magical means, it was just a funny coincidence.

frost - sorcerer, aberrant mind origin

Still wears his master's robes because he is attuned to it, and it helps with the energy to use his psionic abilities

Wears mittens because the pads of his paws are especially sensitive to the cold !!!!

Heterochromia due to his time in the Order - both eyes used to be golden.

Usually the one to carry most of the party's belongings (along with Torbek. Because of their large packs, their inventory space is increased).

torbek - rogue, scout archetype

no Witchlight because they never went to the Feywild in this AU :] therefore he never got experimented on or kidnapped.

Needless to say, he still hears voices, and the Other will occasionally make himself known

Also has a tail - it wags when he is happy, and twitches when he is nervous.

Sometimes he holds tails with the other party members subconsciously. Only Kremy complains about it, but doesn't push him away (at least he is warm)

Blue eyes - this is rare in bugbears

gricko - druid, circle of the moon

Formerly a circle of the primeval spirits, but switched over not long after adopting Hootsie

Still refuses to wear shoes. Probably has some major frostbite rn

Wears many moon charms and totems on his person, including the piercings. This is to harness his druidic magic (but he also still plays the ocarina)

Scar on lip due to a nasty fall on the ship before arriving in Drakkar

Named Harklen "Hootsie" Grimgrin

Was given Gricko's necklace before joining the Icebound party.

Still has her earmuffs, and was bundled up by Gricko to keep his baby warm

Human and eight years old in this AU!! The only member of the Krew to not have a tail

Golden eyes, curly hair, vitiligo on face, arms, legs, and hands

Her hood has the tufts on top to represent an owl

Instead of being an owlbear, she was given to Gricko by an owlbear. This owlbear sacrificed herself to save Hootsie, and was how Hootsie gained her nickname from Gricko

Technically her and Gricko are under the same circle, considering that Gricko trains her occasionally to harness her druidic power - but she was taken in by the stars, rather than the moon.
