Hey! I'm just starting a girlblog, and I was wondering if you had any tips for beginners?
so sorry for the late reply but yes i do!
1. post what you love – dont post what you think others will enjoy, girlblogging is supposed to be enjoyable. you will find your niche even if it isn't immediately! be authentically you ♡
2. be SAFE. there are so many creeps on here and you have to be careful. don't get sucked in.
3. take breaks. it is so easy to forget who you are when you're constantly on tumblr and seeing these posts about others. i took a 3 (ish) month break and it was best for me! do what you need to do, don't feel guilty about it
4. make friends! this makes posting so much more fun! words cannot describe how happy i felt when i saw my friends liking and commenting on my posts
5. be kind – dont let this app suck the life out of you, be nice and respectful to everyone else
6. dont be afraid to block! it will likely be necessary
7. HAVE FUN! girlblogging is awesome, i love this community. make sure you are enjoying it before you commit <3
8. use relevant hashtags and don't misuse them, it is beyond annoying for other communities
9. be patient and post no matter how many followers you have
10. don't focus on the numbers, it's easy to get addicted but followers/notes/likes etc are not important! it isn't worth it to post if you only care about how much attention you receive
hi everyone, i believe i'm ready to come back to tumblr ♡ i have missed girlblogging and posting for all of you, but the mental exhaustion goes crazy sometimes 😭 i likely wont be as active as i was in the past but i do want to start posting again
