I have a lot of thoughts about agent redacted but couldn't really find a nice way to share them so I made this lovingly shitty ms paint drawing to share my headcanons that I mostly pulled out of nowhere.

i think often about how privilege offers even the most kind and compassionate people a limited frame of reference for what they can empathize with and how. like it's the sensation of growing up in a house where you got beat and then when you meet friends with well-adjusted parents, while they are firmly and meaningfully your friends, it remains that their reactions to what are simple, objective memories for you designate your experience an "other": an unfathomable, worrying thing that seems incompatible with your casual, mundane, and infinitely faceted existence that you live now. people who have never been made to experience shit things tend to view those shit things as a blemish on one's lived experience to be avoided and isolated from other, less concerning parts like the ones they could understand

anyway i say that because, like, of COURSE the motherfucker with a literally unfinished likely-physically-disabled prototype body and a corresponding psychological awareness of others existing as a finalized, functional version of that prototype would become cynical and self-isolating in a perfectly idyllic, whimsical world: the vast majority of the people they could meet within that world they natively inhabit makes them feel as if something is fundamentally wrong with them or in need of fixing to be constantly experiencing those things
