A Crash Course in Combat [ open ; Cecilia+???]
The life of an Earth-human was far different than what the Bioroid had expected. Cecilia was used to fighting battles against the armies of other clans on Cray, but was it really normal for these humans to engage in something somewhat similar with their odd tiny robots..? Probably not, seeing how many of them considered themselves to be trapped in this school, but they seemed to command their robots as naturally as she wielded her sword, so this entire situation was rather confusing.
Speaking of the robots, she found them to be the most baffling aspect of the situation. Though technically an android herself (albeit one based of plants as opposed to a machine), she had no idea exactly what she was supposed to do with both this contraption and the control device for it. All she knew was that the one she had picked was referred to as a âKanaloa;â she had no idea if her choice was good or bad, as she had simply picked the more streamline and agile-looking of the two models offered to her.
Even with her lack of knowledge on this type of battle, they had given Cecilia a position of leadership within her new ânation.â That meant they expected her to learn how to make the robot fight and fulfill the role properly, didnât it? And with no fixed date for the first âWar Timeâ to begin, it would be better for her to learn sooner rather than later. There were books in the shopping district on such matters, but learning through reading wasnât how she did things. As not only a grade three unit, but a Musketeer, first-hand experience in battle was the best way to get a grasp on things like this. The problem here, however, revolved around finding a teacherâŠ
It seemed that a high volume of traffic consisting of students of multiple nations passed through the shopping district, so that was where she waited in hopes of finding one that appeared competent. Once that was accomplished, she approached, displaying the LBX she had been given and speaking in a rather flat tone.
"You there. Please assist me in mastering the method of combat used within this academy. Though assigned to be a leader, I am ashamed to admit I know nothing of even the most basic functions of these small Workeroids, let alone how to do battle with them.
Interesting, it is, the shopping district of this Island where Reiji is left to attend. Compared to the intricate way the school itself is ran by the headmaster, the shopping district, and the rest of the island too is not as complex as he would think. He may even say it can be considered rather outdated, not that he particularly minds, of course. Itâs almost rather nostalgic, even. Yet, no matter how nostalgic, there were still imperfections he could see. Troublesome, is only how he can describe it at the moment. On top of the fact that he even has to work by the blood vesselsâ schedule. Good grief⊠Class in the day? Actually sleep at night? A complete one-eighty turn this academy has done to Reijiâs schedule.
Though, one thing that perks his interest is present in the shopping district, a library. However, would such an antique place carry the books the vampire takes an immediate fascination to? Ah, probably not. He has no interest in things that are not flawless. A shame, this is.
It seems that someone is requesting Reijiâs attention, suddenly. He turns around at the voice that spoke up, âHaâŠ? You are?â What a displeasing way to be addressed. Despite that, he listens to the womanâs words. A new student, most certainly that can be presumed with what theyâre requesting of Reiji.
âIt is disgraceful how you do not possess even the simplest knowledge of how basic things work here.â He replies, âNonetheless, at least you have even the slightest decency to learn to have some shame.â So, she needs the proper knowledge on how to work the contraptions that the school has provided to the students. Surely, Reiji isnât one to actually conduct himself into doing these sort of activities, however if it is the will of the school he already made himself aware that it should be necessary to learn what is needed already.
â⊠Honestly, I suppose it cannot be helped. Itâs unpleasant to have a woman who does not possess a modicum of knowledge that should be required before arriving.â He makes his decision final, âAnswer my question. Have you not taken it upon yourself to learn even the slightest information about these creations? You should inform me what you know, it would be tiring of me to repeat myself on things that you are aware of.â Even if he shall take this upon himself, it will be hard work... Especially if she does not have even a speck of knowledge of it all.
