This week ARTINFO is debuting clips from the show's new season, which focuses on artists in four North American cities: Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Vancouver.

“Art in the Twenty-First Century,” the flagship television series of the nonprofit arts organization ART21, is returning this week. This marks the eighth season of the Peabody Award–winning program.”

Tune in to PBS on Friday, September 16, at 9:00pm Eastern Time for a very special Chris Ware episode. “Ware, considered to be one of the most important cartoonists working today, is known for his meticulously detailed drawings, satirical style, and references to other comics, 20th-century graphic design, and art history. He’s won just about every major comic book prize, including multiple Eisner and Harvey awards, and he was included in the 2002 Whitney Biennial and in the exhibition “Masters of American Comics” at the Jewish Museum in 2006-07.” Be sure to tune in for a chance to explore Ware’s studio and iconic work.
