I feel like EverGlow deserves rookie of the year. They’re a very good sounding girl group with a really nice debut song from a non big 3 company that’s doing decent numbers. I know they wont get it since TXT and ITZY exist, but I still think they deserve it. plus I also like how they have 6 members in their group but their choreography showed just how many good formations an even member group can made without having to stick someone in the back and make them invisible for the entire chorus or verse of a song. They were really lucky to work with the two female choreographers that they did; I’d seen their previous work and it’s amazing.

I found their song very underwhelming tho. It was very generic and messy in my opinion so no I don't agree. But then again its doing some numbers so they'll probably get one

I hope Blackpink reaches 1 billion views before BTS. I’m not a huge fan of either band but I’d rather a girlgroup reach before a boygroup, and I’d also rather literally any group before BTS.

I know it’s a commercial strategy but seeing groups with 9 or more people puts me off. It’s been growing popular since Super Junior and EXO, and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping any time soon.

Instead of just disliking the majority of their fandom I’m more really really scared of Armys & their massive destructive power. They can deform an idols image in minutes, their hate posts on twitter get up to 30k+ retweets & they simply follow what their big accs say. I’m so worried that one day they’ll have my fave “between their fangs”, I wouldn’t know what to do then. I’m starting to think that Armys’ main goal is to bring the whole Kpop scene & “kPopPiEs!!1!” down to make BTS “rule” alone.

It might be alot to ask for since gg are not really independent from their company, like some boy groups are, but I would LOVE to see a girl group that’s self composed like svt or skz. I just hope that jyp does that for their next girl group or someone else please. I know alot of solo artists and older kpop gg do it but a rookie gg with everything on their hands instead of the company is something i really need.

I wish people would actually take the time to research mamamoo’s scandals instead of bandwagon hating on them. I’m not going to be naive and act like the bf incident and hwasa saying the n-word was ok and shouldn’t be acknowledged, and I totally understand if you don’t want to support mamamoo because of it. But when they have sincerely apologized several times, learned from their mistakes, and never done it again, it gets frustrating seeing so many people twist it and paint mmm as racist idols.

The "funny" thing is that a lot of people who cancel mamamoo still stan other (boy) groups who have done problematic shit and never bothered to apologize. Like fine you wanna cancel mamamoo who genuiely apologized but all those other groups are ok in your book? That's hypocritical

I know groups grow, evolve and their music style changes, but I enjoy Mamamoos older songs more. The new ones aren’t bad like I enjoy them but in my opinion the girls could show their power more in the older songs

I know ppl like to argue tht there’s no such thing as “Big 3 Privilege”, but there’s no way u can deny that the GP preemptively anticipates a group more if they debut under a highly publicized company like the Big 3 (not excluding other giants like Cube). That’s just the way it is. This fact does not negate that group’s hard work or talent; we all know how hard these ppl (children, really) work for their dreams. But the future isn’t as much of a gray area as it is for nugu groups

The “korea have the fastest internet” that people said when they are arguing is so dumb. We all have internet or at least access to it. Do we use it to investigate the social problems in the other side of the world? No! We use it to watch crack videos, MVs.. I can assure that Idols are not different. Even if we had better internet we would use it to watch the videos in a better quality.

Honestly? Good for Cube kicking out E'Dawn and Hyuna. Gay idols have to hide their relationships (and sexuality for that matter) so Im happy a straight couple is getting consequnces especially after going against their company. I wish that kpop wasn’t so results based especially for real senior groups and artist. Like I heard people saying that Woman by BoA flopped or whatever but who cares? BoA literally built Sm in the beginning of her career and since honestly her songs don’t get the best responses these days she obviously chooses to have comebacks bc she likes to perform and she’s enjoying herself. She and all other idols deserve to have a moment in career when they’re releasing music purely bc they want to not just because their company wants them to rake in some money.
