First off I want to take just moment to thank everyone for the over abundance of support, love, and encouragement that we’ve received–both from friends and strangers. It’s hard to come to terms with how we feel right now. I have to be honest, in a situation like this, it can really hard to let go of bitterness, but the amount of kindness that has come our way, in such a short amount of time, has brought several of us to tears. There is love and there is goodness in all things.

Our manager has set up an GoFundMe in order to offset some of the burden, and help us get the bare essentials in order to get back on the road. So many people have been unbelievably generous; our gratitude can not properly be articulated. We owe a life debt. Anything we receive will directly go to replacing our gear, BUT ALSO replacing Lithuania’s gear that we were carrying for them If this avenue makes it easier to help, feel free but don’t feel pressured: [click here]

On another note: A lot of people have been asking about pawn shops and our involvement with the police. We gave all of our serial numbers to the police; anytime someone sells something to a pawn shop, they are required to log the numbers. A lot of modern thieves have become hip to this and use different channels to unload stolen goods. The Austin police department has ensured us that we’ve given them all the information we can. 

We’ve attached a spreadsheet image with all of our gear and the corresponding serial numbers. We are staying vigilant; scouring the Internet. If you want to help, keep your eyes peeled.

Lastly, it goes without saying that we will have to cancel some shows. We are hoping to get back on the road hastily. To anyone who bought tickets with the intention of seeing us–we are so sorry. It breaks our hearts. We are trying to get moving in the next day or so. If we have to skip your city, we promise we will make it a point to return swiftly.

I’ve been anticipating this one for a while and it’s finally up! Navi simultaneously melts faces, blows minds, and consistently causes all nearby asses to shake involuntarily. They’ve been doing it routinely for a few years, but unless you live in Richmond, VA you’d probably never know it. These guys are notoriously bad at promoting themselves online. They’re aware of it, too, recently posting on facebook a screenshot of facebook yelling at them about it. It’s all good, because they’re likely being treated like the rightful kings of the local circuit that they are around RVA. It just kind of sucks for a guy who doesn’t live in that city anymore. Fans of noise rock titans Lightning Bolt and Zack Hill from wherever ought to give this a look. From this vid it’s clear the band has evolved in the past year. The drummer Kyle’s added electronics are a cool addition to their sound since I’ve seen ‘em. The new track Gilgamesh also has this kind of emotive post-rock vibe in the beginning that is pretty new for the duo. Didn’t expect Navi to make me feel feelings and sound pretty for a minute there.

The guys from Good Day RVA went all out creating a unique set for this shoot in particular. These guys seriously need more funding. Everything they have done is of as high a quality as anything “professional” and their stuff continues to improve. The bummer is that huge gap between their releases. Seriously throw heaps of money at them so that they can produce these videos more frequently. These guys should be able to quit their day jobs. The sound quality is very good too so be sure to listen through some nice headphones or speakers with a bottom end. This band is all about bass and weird textural sounds. 

Navi is the band I’m most bummed about not being able to see live after leaving the east coast. Luckily Good Day RVA has basically brought Richmond to me. There’s no wild crowd or drunk twerking housewives but this is the next best thing.
