The "future" is the effect of billions of decisions made by *people* who have power. It was the decisions of the wealthy that made AI in the form that it has; it is the decisions of people in power that create poverty.

If we secure power back in the hands and interests of the many, rather than the few, then we can actively decide what the future holds. The greatest lie ever told was that "there is no alternative".

My partner came up with this funny but oddly compelling idea of "Prestige Capitalism" where there's a wealth cap of like $5 Million, and if you reach it you get:

- A park named after you - A certificate that says "You won capitalism" - And all of your money resets to 0 so you can do it again Wealth includes a total sum of any and all savings, income, and assets, on- or off-shore, regardless of whether it is solidified or liquidated.

A friendly reminder that saying "schizo" as a pejorative or adjective is inherently ablest.

People with schizophrenia are incredibly marginalized and demonized. If you have the sense to not say the r-word, you should have the sense to not say that.

I would also like to take this moment to point out that the misuse of "intrusive thought" as just being a sudden impulse/want or thought, like wanting a coffee, downplays the very real and serious experience of intrusive thoughts.
