I almost lost everything. I was completely shattered and broken. Then...

After last night 😊:

I was just able to pay the mortgage for May. We will still be looking to raise money for June and the other bills BUT you have given me so much hope and peace. I went from being overwhelmed to overwhelmed with gratitude. We will not close.

My heart is so heavy and I am absolutely devastated.

I've done everything I could.

I sold what I could.

I begged for what I could.

I sought investors for my business.

I asked y'all for help.

I asked y'all to share my post

I've borrowed to the extent of my credit.

And I still failed.

We have to close the rescue.

We are losing our home.

I'll try to keep up the app so y'all will still have resources you need.

My calling from God will now be unanswered.

I don't see a way to come up with the 1,108 I still need before Sunday much less anything for the other bills. It's over. I'm done.

I've been trying to figure out what to say. We have a situation that I am not allowed to talk about openly but it involves several animals in urgent need.

Hi, I want to get everyone up to date on things and I have a couple of things that I just need to say. I know that this is going to be a little long but please bare with me and share.

Update on my health:

We are doing MRIs and some other things to get my migraines under control. They are now taking over around 29 days a month.

We just found out that I also have a heart murmur. I have to get a fancy ultrasound before we know what we are doing about it. But this might be the cause of my blood pressure bottoming out and the possible seizures.

With all that being said, we really need donations for the rescue. Any change you can spare would be a huge blessing. My sisters are going to be handling the care of the animals and are taking care of me but we have had nearly no grants this year and many of our regular donors are unable to give any longer. We do not get government funding.

What we need immediately is the Purina kitten food. Some of our litters are being wiened and most of the cats we have are under 1 year. You can have Walmart, Amazon, or Chewy deliver right to us.

Now for the thing I need to say. Someone was offended by something my sister said on her personal page to someone else. Please remember that rescuers are still people. We get upset and say things we don't mean. It's an ugly human trait but we all have it. I'm not making apologies for it or excuses because I think that, even in the raw feelings, we have the right to say absolutely anything we want to say, even if we don't mean it. The rights we have cost the lives of thousands of people who fought and served to preserve them. Don't let that be forgotten.

Hey y'all. A person took back their donations. It's okay, they said they didn't mean to commit monthly and didn't realize they had until it had been a few months so they filed a dispute. Unfortunately, we really needed that money and spent it on electricity and animal food.

So I'm asking you guys to dig us out of the whole. Hopefully in the next two months we'll be able to get in a position where we won't have to depend on donations. But at this time we really, really need you.
