As someone who has recently come to love the .hack series again, I was wondering if there was any place for original characters in this? I'm looking for a .hack roleplaying group, whether it be on Discord or elsewhere, but I don't typically play established characters in games. Moreover, are there other participants with original characters? If so, how many?

Absolutely! We’ve had several OC’s join over the years and they’ve been a blast to roleplay with. We currently have 2 OC’s in our discord and tumblr group as we speak.
