You start the long climb up the ladder but about halfway up you notice Leonie climbing on zir own up the sheer rock face next to you. This just… blows you away for a few moments before you’re able to continue the climb up to the top to meet zir. It exhausts you even more and now all you want is a bath and to curl up for a nap.

"You are so strong, Leonie…" You wish you could do something as impressive as that. The most you have is your psionic ability.

You beam a smile her way once she reach the top, and holds out a hand to help. The sun's heat felt really nasty by now, but your hive was right there so you'd be inside soon enough.

"Of courshe I am!" you say, still grinning. "I'm a mighty lion. I have to be shtrong!"

What were a lion if it wasn't strong after all? You study your friend a bit as you talk, pretty much pulling her towards the door so you can get inside your hive to the more cold areas of your hive. The parts that are built inside the rock.

"A little bit. There are a lot of trees in it and it tends to be dark, but it does not get that humid or warm. It is usually cooler than being out of the forest."

You give zir a bit of a concerned look as you sense the odd feeling zi gets when thinking about being lost in the jungle. You were pretty worried about zir when you saw zir message way back when and you tried to help as much as you could. You’re really glad it proved very useful!

The heat is almost unbearable for you when it comes in full force, exhausting you quickly. But you have to press on or you’ll never get out of the sun. You’re so glad to see Leonie’s hive when you finally get there. You feel like you could use a bath or at least some of the ice cream zi promised!

You look up at the ladder from last time and sigh a bit. Ladders are your bane but at least you’re used to them from climbing up the emergency escape ladders so many times to sneak out. It was just like this, only there were no tunnel walls to grab onto if you slipped.

You are pretty used to the heat, and it's notable. While you, just like Hystri do get pretty tired - you don't get exhausted as fast and you can move like nothing happened there in the shade of your umbrella. Though you do try to help whenever it seem like she get too tired.

If you had to you would likely throw her up on your back, tell her to hold the umbrella and carry her hive.

But then you arrived after all. You smile a bit at Hystri, while you yourself simply put on a pair of gloves to not burn yourself on the sun heated rock, then you start climbing without using the ladder. After all you mostly had it there for your guest to use.

You jump a little, but it’s Leonie… you hug zim back, carefully. Your smile is a little shaky, but you force yourself to stay strong. Leonie is happy to see you! You can be happy, too. If only briefly.

You actually giggle a little bit at the moment of seriousness zi shows, but you know zi’s not kidding. You nod and make sure to stay under the umbrella as you walk with zir.

"I am more used to the forest, there are at least more trees there…! It never feels so hot, and the cave I live in is nice and cool… I have never needed to worry about it!"

As much as that little charade was to make Hystri laugh a bit, it was true that you were not really joking. The longer you stayed out there, the hotter it would become. And the sun would rise higher and higher up on the sky. No news really, so having an umbrella for shade was pretty good.

"Yeaah... A foresht ish a bit like a jungle right? There wash barely any sun there at all... But it shtill got really hot and damp in there."

You look a bit distant when you think back on the time you were lost in the jungle. It had not been too bad in there, if only you had not been lost, and if the connection had not been so terrible, you really wouldn't mind it at all. Maybe you should return sometime, more prepared.

You walk together with Hystri over the grass field, it does take quite a few hours to walk, and it does become very hot as well. When the two of you finally reach your lion cliff, it's late in the afternoon, nearly sunset all over again.

Is it starting to get warmer out? You definitely feel warmer, and things are getting brighter… Oh dear. You’ve only been caught out once before, and you remember those burns the sun left all over Nittya’s arms! You really don’t want that to happen to you…

It turned out, though, that the figure coming toward you now was indeed Leonie, and zi is calling to you! You hurry up and meet zir halfway.

"Leonie…! It is good to see you again!" You smile, but you’ve definitely felt a lot happier before now. It’s just good to see your friend’s face. 

"Thank you for coming to meet me… and for letting me come over… I hope I am not imposing…!"

You quickly slip underneath zir umbrella to escape the sun. The only reason you think you were able to get to his hive at night last time was because you left during the day, and the sun isn’t so harsh when there are plenty of trees in the forest to offer you shade. 

"It is getting really hot out here…!"

You give Hystri a bright smile back when she slip in under the umbrella, offering her a one-armed hug with your free arm. It was nice to see her again, last time was during your wrigglingday and that was quite some time ago by now.

That's what you get for living so far away from everyone you suppose.

"It'sh aweshome to meet you too hyshtri! And don't worry about it... I mean we're friendsh!"

You let go of her and tilt your head, it was true, while you were a bit concerned over her being so sad when she wrote to you, you're actually quite happy she's there... And also quite happy she felt you were close enough for her to want to turn to you with it!

"And yeeeah... I know. It could be waaay worshe though thrusht me... In fact itsh not that bad thish early but..."

You slide your shades down to look over them at her for effect.

"During the middle of the day... It'sh like an oven."

You look super serious for a few moments, then you poke them back up with a new smile and start walking.

"We better hurry up a bit!"

>You make sure to sneak out when Pilumn won’t see you and make your way through the forest. It’s a long trek out but you still remember the way from the last time you came. Hardly anyone comes through this area; in fact, you can still see your old shoeprints.

>Some time later you emerge from the forest into a hilly grassland. It’d be harder to find your way now, but hopefully you’d spot Leonie or zir hive soon. You don’t like being out in the open like this. The forest was much more calming and protective to you.

>You think you see a figure out in front of you, and you raise an arm to wave at it. You hope that’s Leonie. 

You knew that your savanna was wide, and that it in one direction ended in jungle, and after that desert. You also had heard there was a forest somewhere, but it was so far you'd never been there.

Like usually you made sure to keep parasols and shades with you in your sylladex, to get to your place before sunrise from where Hystri lives, is as far as you know impossible. In fact it appear to be on its way up, and the Savanna sky is like always, clear without mercy. No clouds whatsoever to get shade from. And the trees were far between. You could feel the heat and put on your shades, lifting the parasol just to be sure.

The sun usually burned even more out here than in other places. And you kept walking, eventually spotting another troll in the grass and squinting to see who it was. Was that Hystri? You think it's Hystri. It's kind of hard to see in the light, you hope she's alright and not overheated... You should probably hurry.. Yeah, you do so, you hurry over towards her.

"Hyshtri!!"
