Doumeki x Watanuki Dating HCs
I'm in zoom class reading this. And I had to turn off the camera because my eyes water whenever I think about the ending. Shit was so unfair.
They were always together in my head, canon really tore my heart.
But anyways we already know that Doumeki is a picky eater and has a love for whatever Watanuki cooks. So expect Watanuki to pack him more lunch than usual and then proceed to bark at him for not saying thank you or tasting the food.
"You can at least try to enjoy the flavour you pig!"
"It's good. Like usual." Cue Watanuki being lowkey happy.
As for Watanuki he might still be uptight towards Doumeki, complaining about how his face is so emotionless but at the same time he'll pay attention to how Doumeki feels. He's one of the few that can decipher his facial reactions (if he has any).
Doumeki is more keen to pick up Watanuki from Yuko's place after work is over. I don't think they're the type to hold hands in public often but maybe pinky holding can happen after a particularly hard day at work.
Expect mini dates in the park, fast food restaurant, or perhaps just study sessions. Although it's really just Watanuki hounding Doumeki who is covering his ears again.
If Watanuki won't shut up Doumeki can kiss his fingers or cheeks and he'll be quiet for hours, face beet red. Watanuki is very shy about his kisses. Especially public ones. It's quick, he smashes his lips too roughly on Doumeki's face before walking away but sometimes just maybe, Doumeki's eyes soften.
A spoiler but when Doumeki gives half his eyesight to Watanuki, he appreciates him more. Watanuki struggles with self worth and time and time again Doumeki was always by his side. He isn't good with his words so he cooks up a huge meal.
They share a kiss and manga afterwords. Yuko gave him the day off.
They were already goals in canon.
