this year i completed my degree and i lost a ton of weight, which naturally means I've been thinking about the rest of the stuff I dislike in my life and want to change. and because I'm studying for my drivers permit (and working towards getting my drivers license) and i find it completely abysmal and dull as fuck, I've decided that my summer goal is to read all the unread books in my bookcase. when i started uni, mostly because i studied literature and i had to read books and essays all day (but also bc i was mega depressed, lol) i completely stopped reading for my own pleasure, and it's something that makes me feel incredibly ashamed. so... one book down, 13 to go. writing this here so i have no excuse to chicken out 🫡

edit: counted them wrong (dyscalculia be damned), but i finished the second one already so it's actually 2 down, 14 to go.

update for one one but me: since writing this post i've ticked 9 books off my to-read list and just started the 10th. and then i looked at my shelf, in two different occasions might i add, and discovered even more unread books. which means I still need to read 13.
